I don't know what's going on with me lately. No matter what I try to do, and no matter how tired I am, I physically cannot go to sleep until it starts to get light out. Which around here is approximately 6:30 - 7. This is not only completely absurd but ruining my days. Even getting up at noon makes me very grumpy seeing as how it's only about 5 hours sleep or so. I'm not sure whats nagging me off so that I can't sleep. But something has to be done. Anyone know any good sleep helpers?

On another note, I'm sitting here drawing and I went to yawn and my mouth did not open for like.. 3 seconds.. I freaked for a moment, then a loud POP. That sound being my jaw. After that it opened no problem but I found later on, if I kept my mouth closed regularly a long while, the same thing would happen again. My jaw has always popped just a teeny bit sometimes, especially when I chew too much gum. But now this is starting to freak me. I should probably see a doctor. :/

If you see the doctor, he might have some advice on the sleeping thing too. Good luck.

I'm having that problem too, my dentist says it's stress related. Go see a doctor or dentist asap

Lack of sleep can be a bloody dangerous thing. My trouble with it has been that I can't sleep soundly unless I'm in a completely dark room. I have to have no source of light whatsoever. I also have to have some sort of fan making white noise or I wake up. I've also got to have gone to the bathroom or I wake up with an adrenaline rush around an hour or two later. Sometimes our bodies just require some peculiar thing or forty to sleep right.

As for the jaw thing: yeah, go see someone 'bout that...

I had that problem, too, and yes stress is related.

What happened to me (and it might be your case) is that while you sleep, the stress you've been under gets to you and makes you clench your teeth really hard in your sleep, which wreaks havoc on the mucles and joints in your jaw. They were gonna give me a mouthguard, but I kinda got out of the Navy before that, and since the Navy was the cause of much of my stress, I didn't need it anymore. ;p

You should still see a dentist, though, if not try and do something relaxing before going to bed, like listening to soft music.
