Well, I need some honest-mature-advice from my fellow artists here. Full sail college was in my school today, I saw their stuff and its been a while since ive ever been so joyfull about an art piece.
Their students do animation for EA videogames, and some other companies. Their school is in Orlando (AKA HOT CHICKS).
The problem here is that I am already a sophomore of computer science major (YAWNS). And its driving me crazy... I just can't drop 2 years of school into the toilet and try this out...I am confused I also love Compu. Science, programming and math but art is just so fun to make...I don't know what to do...

JnZhomie Says:

What would you be more happy doing later in life. What can you wake up to and say "Yes, I have work today"?

Defusion Says:

I just had to make this choice in regards to my A-Levels....I chose creativity over IT and Business Studies (two subjects which I have great experience, skills and interest in) for Drama in hopes of being in the Film Industry....I have not regretted it

EX35 Says:

Ah, Full Sail. The college I want to go to after I finish getting my Associates Degree. Full Sail is a good school and it does live up to it's name. One my good friend's brother went to the school and saw some of his stuff. Top notch.

As for what you want to do, I say go with what you really enjoy. Also, to go with something you've been studying throughout your life. It's a tough decision. I was in your shoes 2 months ago, trust me. I was caught between either working with Computer Animation or pursuing a career in music. I love doing both so much, but my dad told me that go with something you've been trying your damndest (he said that) to accomplish your entire life. I've been drawing and practicing animation for years now. I dont want to put years of experience to waste, so that's why I chose to continue pursuing animation, but leave the music as a hobby. However, you never know if your hobby CAN be your career.

So, go with what you truly want to do. Just trying to help here. This is just one of the options. Hope this helps.

I would say go for it! Working for a big company like EA would be great pay! best ask a guidence counciller in your school for better advice.

yiang Says:

I fell the same way about stuff...excpet I don't have the responsibility of making that tough decision yet. I definitely want to involve art in my life, but my parents question the practicality of it. But I want to make a choice for my own lfie, nto theirs..
continuing off that, I think that you should do what your heart tells you to do (as cheddar as that sounds), because if its the wrong decision (and its not), you can take responsiblity of it and not blame anyone else for the mistake (its not a mistake, tbh )
aaaand you'll be happy doing something you love a lot. Pluuus
los chicas calientes son esperandos!
how much time have you got til you've got to decide?
Hang in there :)

BladeYang Says:

The problem is you already spent that much time on C.S., it would be 'wise' to finish the career already and trip to Full Sail after you are done with that. First of, computer science might help you a lot in a future when looking for a top notch job

Wasamonster Says:

OMFG I'm looking at that school for next year! I'll let you know if I apply! PS We can dorm lolz.

Cat Megex Says:

Here's what I suggest...stay where you are, but do a correspondence course. X3

Seriously, though...don't give up what you have already, but find ways to work with what you can do from there.

mistergoodface Says:

could you do the design school after you get done with your computer science?

Quimera Says:

Acaba la carrera de compu y luego ve que pedo... es lo que hare yo
