Anyone hear of the woman who died of water intoxication thanks to an idiot pair of DJ's giving out one of those dreadful new Wii systems? The contest was to see who could drink the most water without having to take a piss. the contest was called HOLD YOUR WEE FOR A WII...

anyways, someone called in before the contestants got too far, warning that they could get sick or possibly even die from drinking too much water. The DJ's responded "yeah well we got them to sign wavers, so it's ok, we're not responsible"... and now, a woman is dead, from trying to win her dear son a Wii. And water intoxication is not a nice easy way to die, it's painful. and slow. at some point, you think they'd have stopped it because of how sick she was looking. no, they just kept encouraging her to drink more, and saying shit like "look at her belly!" which looked like she was pregnant. I think they said around 8 months. She was so sick, she couldn't go to work, so she went home to rest. and then died. the woman who she was up against, who survived, was pretty close to dying too. But she managed to live.

i'm kind of pissed that these 2 idiot dj's did somehting this stupid, and don't feel responsible all because they got them to sign a waver.And I question if the girl knew the dangers of that much water...

also, what is with people LITERALLY DYING to get their hands on the new gen of systems? shot for ps3, death by water for a wii... what a sad country. and that's coming from a fucking gaming ADDICT... I'd NEVER kill for a system, or die for one either (how the fuck could i play it if i died?!) anyways, i wanted to let you guys know of this tragedy. i'm not very happy about it. that poor woman just wanted to get her son something really nice and she ended up losing her life over it. and now that son is without a mom forever. Nothing about this situation is right.
