It was 2002; I had anxiously rushed home to play my new game, Metroid Prime. I had just gotten a bargain pack from Game stop that included the guide at a cheaper price; little did I know that it would be so much help in actually beating the game. After playing the game for 3 weeks or so I got stuck at the Omega Pirate, and realized I was very under prepared for that fight. About 4 or 5 months pass and I finally start playing it again, only starting new file after new file. And then, I pick up my guide and assure myself that this time it would be the one, the file that would be 100% completed due to me following the guide. Mind you it's been about 4 years since I got this game, and I had been pretty pissed that I had not beaten it yet. In fact, I had beaten Super Metroid, Fusion, and Zero Mission all in that time period (several times over in fact). My newest Metroid Prime file that I had devoted myself to playing had suddenly grown boring, or at least I just had something else to do at the time. That is, until last weekend, when I randomly started to play it again. I picked up my guide and beat Phazon Mines and the Omega Pirate in one fell swoop. It took me a WHILE to actually bother to get past that spot, and I was pretty damn happy (happy, but not satisfied). Now Ridley and Metroid Prime needed a good rape. So that next morning (I waited you see) I finally beat the game. I know this may not seem like journal worthy, but it is to me. Metroid Prime had always been one of my favorite games, but the tedious exploration left me wondering how the hell I could have done this without a guide. Some of the Chozo Artifacts that were hidden were in places I had no interest in checking. By the way, did I ever mention that I got the "Retro" in RetroJape from Retro Studios? It's true, yep. Now here's to one damn good Metroid game, and now I can't wait to finally play Prime 2, which I just got today.

God, maybe I should try to not ramble so much, heh.

Lol, I beat Prime without any help, albeit only 97% complete. I have yet to go back and 100% it, but maybe when Im bored.

Lol, I saw you beat Megaman X back in 95 and now I saw you beat Metroid Prime.
