Ill be the first to admit, I'm not a biggest fan of the Sims, or Willie-Boy Wright for that matter. I don't doubt his creative genius I just found his 'simulation of real life' design idea a tad on the boring side. Now in a virtual life I can get a job and try not to be late...oh crap I forgot, I need to be at work today! *runs*
So when I first heard about Spore, I was skeptical, not only was real life boring enough to simulate, but the evolutionary chain? Come on. However lately I've been noticing a few more tidbits around that about Spore that make it seem more interesting. Such as Scott Ramsoomair from VGCats, who keeps getting that same comic he made about Spore, being realized in real life. Including the new physical toys of the creatures he made up by drawings, on his doorstep, yes even the butt-For-Eyes one. Amazing stuff this game will be.
Which also raises another thing. There is always one game at the least that everyone knows is going to be epic. And no I'm not talking about Epic games though the Unreal3 engine does look pretty hot right now. I'm talking about a game like Spore, a game that once it comes out, no question about it, its going to be an instant hit and instantly impact the shower and social schedules of nearly everyone in the world.
Halo2 anyone? Game to me is a bit of a bore but I'm not going to deny that it was indeed one of those instant hits and everyone knows about Halo, right?
Indeed.
So I'm quite stoked about the Reservoir Dogs game coming out for Cur-Gen systems. It looks like allot of fun to play even it if is just a mimic of your basic third person shooter. I'm just glad they managed to get Michael Madsen to replay his role in it.
What's that? Oh ya to those who know me, yeah your right, I haven't see this groundbreaking film by Quinten Tarantino(sp?), and I also know its a crying shame that I haven't seen Full metal Jacket by Stanley Kubric. ok fanboys settle down with the torch and pitchforks. I just simply never got a chance, I do actually want to see these movies, as their originals, not clichéd like today's media.
Anyways like I was saying, I'm pretty stoked about it, cinematography looks great (especially since it looks like a faithful adaptation from the film)
I am also quite stoked to get my hands on the NextGen sonic title by SEGA. Being a long term Sonic fan and SEGA fanboy all around, to me, its going to be an 'instant hit', maybe not the same story for everyone, but to me it'll be one. It does look like fun, and I hope that this game will be cool enough for everyone who is skeptical about the series, or is emotionally scarred by Sonic Heroes and Shadow the hedgehog, to give it another chance to flourish. Sonic NEEDS the NextGen technology. He and his comrades are to curvy for their own good, its the nature of the art style, and now with nextgen technology and years of experience, SEGA could actually have a great sonic game again, and rekindle allot of lost faith. Even with Sonics new Wii game (Sonic and the secret of the rings, I think its called now, used to be "WildFire')
I'm also into the new technology scene. I'm into the XNA scene specifically. I'm learning C#, from scratch, to be able to create my own games for the

ox360 and Windows Vista (and XP). I'm right now learning how to move a laser beam across the screen every time the spacebar is hit, from the ships position that's controlled by the player. Bit of a retarded road bump if you ask me, but its all a learning process, I'm not really a programmer. I'm a scripter/3d artist.
If your interested in learning more about XNA, go to www.microsoft.com/xna and be forewarned, the first 2d Naruto game I see, I personally fly over to their house and kick their face in. With a shoe. A...rusty shoe.
Prototype Says:
Spore, not being a pc gamer, I guess it doesn't concern me.
Sonic the Hedgehog, hopefully, I've got an Xbox 360 and everything for it.
C#, correct me if I'm wrong, isn't that another form of C?
