I am sick of this! All the time I have people looking at my art on my art accounts, and are like '
Wow, that's nice!'. And then they find out I'm a girl and go '
You can't be a girl! Comic drawing is a boy's style!'.
Boy's style my ass; I think I know my own gender, thank you very much.
So what? Just because I'm female means that '
Oh, I'm sorry, I can't draw Marvel-style art?' That I have to stick to chibi or anime [not that there's anything wrong with those styles] art?
No. This is the style I draw in, and I'm a girl...so get over it!
EDIT - You may noticed my gallery had been wiped. Much of my art has been stolen recently from this site, and I've found about six different RPGs where people have ripped my X-Men character Reaper [image, profile, and all].
I'm sorry...but I give up. No more.
My art will not be appearing on here again.

agreed completely. i don't really draw "comic style" per se (more like a femenine toned down comic-esque style? idk i think mine's a pretty weird style ha), but since i read comics and stuff people tell me that thats weird since i'm a girl...i can't say how many times i've gotten that from boys when i was in school...but the funny part is, i know more about comics than most of them sooooooooo

I don't know, I've found that a lot of the time women seem to draw better than men. Just what i've seen. And honestly I wish I knew more girls who were into comics growing up. Might have been able to talk to them.
