The All-American Rejects- Cant Take It
((THIS IS ONLY CERTAIN PARTS OF THE STORY BECAUSE IT IS CURRENTLY BEING RE-WRITTEN AND EDITED))

The moon rose up high in the sky. Like a softball-sized, pale shepherd, it rested out among the fields of stars as though watching the small going-ons below.
Silvery forms weaved in and out of the trees' cover. Two, it seemed, then three, and then four forms; all moving as fluidly as a gentle creek.
Cole pounded out an easy pace in front, followed by Torrent, then Twist, and finally Mault.
The three wolves in front appeared to glow in the faint shafts of moonlight that poured down between the trees. Mault's coat was a tawny, reddish brown, but when it hit moonlight he glowed gold, like a saint.
Torrent and Twist's coats were similar, though Torrent was pure white and had no marring on his muscular, toned body. Twist was silver, and had three curling scars over his left hip; those being the origin of his namesake.
The farthest in front, Cole, had a mixed coat. Black in some places, with silver splashing others. His flanks, shoulders, and thighs sparkled and gleamed with the motion of his body.
Torrent dipped his head and shoulder then quickened his pace till he ran just to the left of
Cole.
All four wolves pounded out their own pace, but kept within at least three feet of each other. The four males were returning from a small deal-making with another pack. The outsiders had managed to close the distance on their borders. Being in such close competition with another pack was dangerous. As it was, Cole (the current Alpha) brought along his most trusted hunters and trackers with him.
Cole wasn't a big brute, who would throw his weight around just because. Cole was small for a werewolf, though he did possess their strength. Cole liked to think his moves out before he made them.
But...
There was always something that seemed 'off' about him. He was constantly observing every single tiny detail of every single little thing around him. Though his mind always seemed to be working, it didn't seem to be all there at times. Cole was an immensely clever wolf, but he suffered from Partial-Albinism at birth. Long periods in the sun cause him great pain, so he prefers the Moonlight. Perhaps that is the reason why he grew so fond of Torrent, and called him the 'Wolf of the Moon'.
Torrent grew used to the title, and didn't let it bother him. Cole was always a bit odd, every since Torrent had met him, he was always planning, always voicing his ideas. Sadly, though, few wolves took him seriously.
No one could really understand the beauty of Cole's mind till yet took the time to settle down and get to know him. One could never put themselves in his mindset, because it was so elaborate with wide views on every subject imaginable.
Cole was a brilliant, brilliant mind trapped in very small quarters. His illness seemed like it didn't affect him at all, at times. He always 'got' what others were talking about, even if the conversation wasn't meant for him to hear.
That one bit of understanding is most likely how he got a hold of some very valuable information. Though Cole was the current Alpha, and a very good leader, word got around through the pack that the two siblings, ALi and Torrent, should hold the position. Their parents were the original leaders of the pack back when it was first formed. Not once had they fallen on hard times under the leadership of the two. Now, though, it seemed that the wolves were hungrier, more dissatisfied, and more restless.

Cole's mind worked furiously that night. Every single option was probed, every probability was assumed, every aspect was viewed. Still, he found no easy way to gain the trust and love of the pack, to gain their loyalty back. In Cole's mind, the siblings were draining his power, a power he wanted to hold on to.
The black-and-silver wolf had always held a certain attraction for ALi, and a great respect for Torrent. Cole would never let his lust interfere with his leadership, though, and he would never let his respect interfere either. If Torrent and ALi were leading an uprising, he'd make sure it was dealt with.
In Cole's mind, it somehow played out that Torrent was forcing ALi to join in with this rebellion. How could something so fair lead something so bloody?
In reality, it was different.
~~~
ALi stretched out leisurely in the sun, her multicolored pelt shimmered in the rays that managed to meet the ground and bathe it in warm, soft sunlight.
She craned her neck over her shoulder at the sound of approaching footfalls. Her good eye caught the faint form of her brother padding toward her and a wag rose up in her crooked tail.
With a 'hello' under toned with a growl she sat up on her haunches and questioned him "Some fun, eh? If you don't stop wandering around you'll start trouble"
"I know what I'm doing" He replied smoothly and strode passed her, nudging her side roughly with his pure white head.
ALi's laugh ran pure and loud through the small circular clearing. She pawed at his shoulder with one large, heavy paw then followed him as he began to walk on. "Where have you been going these past few days? You haven't taken anyone with you, not Mault or Twist or anything. You're staring to worry me..."
Torrent chuckled deeply "You don't need to worry about me, I'm not a pup, and I can handle myself"
ALi's beautiful mismatched eyes narrowed on him "You didn't answer my question"
"How about I show you? We can meet tonight as soon as the moon peaks over the trees, alright? You won't have to worry or question me anymore after."
ALi paused for a moment then dipped her head "Alright"
With that, ALi broke her course with Torrent and headed for the den, where the current pup-sitter was being mauled by four enthusiastic puppies.
Torrent Paused to watch his sister head away then loped away from the den site so meet his two close pack mates.
Twist and Mault were waiting patiently near the river, both wore calm expressions as he broke the woods and headed toward them.
The stockier, reddish colored wolf grinned as he drew nearer "Took yah long enough! Where have you been anyway?"
"Don't you know, Mault? He doesn't tell anyone where he goes, he's a complete mystery!" Twist joked and lifted his lips in a wolfish smile.
"Shut up, guys, you know what's been up lately. We don't need more rumors piled onto the already immense ones"
"Hmm, but maybe they aren't rumors, ever consider that?" Mault flopped down on his haunches and watched torrent with clever grey eyes.
"Considering I'M the one they're about, No! Besides, we're perfectly content with Cole as Alpha, he's been great for the pack so far, and why would I want to uproot us now? And you both know that ALi wouldn't dare try a rebellion, she loves this place and the wolves so much, and she'd never do anything to harm anyone. I don't want blood on her paws" Torrent surveyed his close pack mates with his brilliant blue-and-cream eyes.
"Alright, Alright mate. We know you wouldn't, we know she wouldn't." Mault lowered his head, a small smile still on his maw as a sign of apology.
Torrent shook his snowy white head then padded past his two pack mates "If we don't get going no one will eat for a wile, come on fellahs."
The pure white wolf leapt the river in one smooth, easy movement. Mault lifted his slightly heavy, tawny body up from the bank and followed after Torrent, slashing through the water instead of leaping over it. Twist followed Torrent's suit. The skinny older wolf leapt from one sandy bank to the other.
The three figures faded into the misty shadows of the forest.
----
"Your brother really is a lot like you" Rei paused to push one riled-up puppy away from her tail then turned her golden eyes on ALi.
The high-ranking female wolf matched Rei's golden gaze with her own green-and-blue one "Torrent and I?"
"Mmhmm"
"How so?"
"Your eyes. He has eyes the same as yours" The black wolf replied in her slow, intoxicating tone.
"My eyes? Yeah, I guess you're right" ALi craned her neck down and lifted one forepaw to pass it over her eyes "Well... one eye the same as his"
ALi matched Torrent's eyes with only one of her own. Torrent's eyes (and ALi's right eye) were a very soft, very light blue color and encircling the pupil was a light creamy color. Truly stunning eyes, many wolves had talked about their 'Medicine Eyes' with great envy. Torrent and ALi really didn't pay attention to the myths and wolf lore about their eyes; after all, ALi only had one 'Medicine eye'.
Rei chuckled gently and lifted her bony, black form "Even with only one eye the same _color_ as his, your eyes are the same. They hold the same feelings, the same emotions, and the same soft, friendly looks. You and your brother are one in the same."
ALi's muzzle wrinkled slightly as she grinned at her fellow pup-sitter "Please, I look at everyone the same, regardless of rank of physical features."
~~~~

Torrent pawed aside a dense thicket of sagebrush and turned his gaze from ALi to the inner part of the thicket and back again. ALi stared at him skeptically "Really, do you really think I-"
"Shh, just go in" He grinned wolfishly at her.
ALi loosed an exasperated sigh and ducked under the canopy of the plant. Torrent looked around once more before he followed his sister.
ALi stared down in awe at the tiny sleeping black and white puppy at her paws. "Torrent, where did you-"
"He's our brother" He cut her off once more and turned his snowy white head to look at her. ALi's mismatched eyes snapped up to meet his "He cant be, it's impossible, he dosnt even look all wolf!"
"He isnt, he's half"
"You just prooved my point!"
"He's our half brother. Look at him, AL. Look into his eyes and tell me he isnt our brother" Torrent replied and stared at her hard.
ALi looked down at the little pup, now roused by their conversation. Sure enough, and to ALi's complete surprise, the tiny half-wolf posessed the same stunning blue and cream eyes her brother had, and she had.
"Ooh Torrent" She shook her multicolored head in amazement.
Torrent smiled softly then spoke "This is what I was doing those days I wasnt in the densite... will you watch him? He dosnt have a mum"
ALi's ears tuliped forward and she turned her head to her brother "I-I will. What's his name?"
Torrent padded forward and nosed under the pup's chin where two gold-colored tags jingled by his throat. ALi also padded in closer and stared at the bold lettering engraved in his tags 'Badger' was the first line. The two others lines read with an adress and phone number. The wolfess smiled and gently nuzzled the tiny puppy's white side. "Ok, I'll take him back with me, you go see Twist and Mault" She gently picked the pup up with careful yet powerful jaws.

Torrent knew the intentions of the black-and-silver wolf were no good. He rumbled his displeasure as Cole drew near "What's that look for? You aren't doubting me are you?"
Cole's masculine, deep voice reached Torrent's ears like a bullet. That was the effect Cole always had on him.
The black-and-silver wolf brushed his hip against Torrent's shoulder, drawing a louder rumble from the white wolf.
Cole circled him, till their eyes were level. Torrent's magnificent blue eyes with cream encircled pupils bored into Cole's steel blue, red tinted ones. The slight pinkish hue had no effect on Torrent's standing. The color usually meant murderous intent, but Cole wouldn't be able to take Torrent down by himself, and he knew that.
"You've lost... Wolf of the Moon... it's too late for you. If you leave now, perhaps I'll spare your siblings." Cole's lips pulled back into an insane grin.
Torrent felt sick, it felt as though the entire world had just landed in his stomach. The white wolf's expression made Cole laugh.
"I'll see you at sundown..."

----
Cole switched from one paw to the other as he watched the white wolf from the high, rocky outcrop. "I'm glad you kept your promise... it's good to see you here"
The flesh of Torrent's muzzle wrinkled and his blue-and-cream eyes flashed at the sight and sound of the black-and-silver werewolf "You have me, leave ALi and Badger out of it" he snarled at the Alpha.
"Oh, come now, Wolf of the Moon, you don't think that I'd actually harm either of them? I'm not like that; I know ALi would never plot against me..." Cole's gruff voice turned steely, his eyes flooded pink.
"Plotting?" Torrent growled "We weren't plotting anything, you're delusional!" He snapped his jaws together to punctuate the last word.
The entire clearing filled with werewolves faster than Torrent could comprehend. Glowing eyes, gaping maws, savage fangs, and blood-parched throats surrounded the white wolf on all sides.
Torrent's heart caught in his throat, his chest tightened and his stunning blue-and-cream eyes widened.
"From hence forth...." Cole's gravelly voice sounded from somewhere above him "The
Moonlight Wolf of Pure White is.... exiled... Take him!"
Wolves from all around swarmed Torrent, ripping, snarling, and pulling.
And Torrent shifted.
His white body twisted, already bloody maw gaped wide for the moon, though it was his blood that stained his white coat, not the blood of others. A higher ranking wolf in half-shift leapt, Torrent knew him as Twist, his cruel fangs punctured his left shoulder and the silvery wolf braced his body against Torrent and ripped down.
Torrent's blood spattered the ground like a crimson river.
Finally, Cole descended, his maniacal eyes flashed in the moonlight. All the wolves separated and formed a circle around the two.
Torrent gasped and bled against the bloodstained soil, his eyes already blurred from the loss of blood.
Both of Cole's paws planted before the white wolf's eyes. Torrent followed Cole's forelegs up to his chest, neck, then finally his flashing grey eyes.
A moment of total silence enveloped the clearing.
Cole's lips drew back to reveal his two-inch long fangs, then his jaws parted in a maniacal laugh. All the wolves in the clearing lifted their bloodied maws to the golden-yellow moon, loosing the howl of Exile, and then Cole struck.
His fangs entered Torrent's right side and he planted both paws on either side of Torrent's ribs then wrenched his head back, taking his own little piece of Torrent with him.
A primal scream of horror and sheer, festering agony ripped Torrent's throat.
And the wolves descended...

----
ALi struggled against the weight of the four female wolves who pinned her down by her neck, shoulders, side, and hindquarters. Her huge paws swung out at the other females who were padding up to help.
In order to subdue their mad, female pack mate, the she wolves reluctantly used their fangs and claws against her.
"Torrent! Let. Me. Go!" ALi snapped her jaws around one female's left front leg and jerked her head sideways, bringing the she wolf down.
She could barely see her brother's bloody white form over the females of the pack who were struggling to keep her down, and the blood that was stinging her eyes.
The males were coming up now; she was running out of energy.
ALi fought harder, ripping one she wolf open from cheek to ear with her fangs.
"He's bleeding! Don't you see!? Let up!"
ALi twisted painfully from under the weight of one stocky female, feeling the muscles of her back burn with the overextension.
Her wounds burned with sheer pain, she was exhausted and horribly sick. ALi flailed out with extended claws and slashed the closest female open at the throat.
All movement seemed to cease as the wolfess dropped to the slightly bloodstained soil in a heap.
ALi's whole body convulsed as she attempted to rip herself away from the corpse. She'd killed a pack mate. The wolf was dead. Tears poured forward from ALi's eyes like a river. They subdued the pain of the blood that was dripping into her eyes.
Her whole world was shattered.
All the females in the clearing stepped back from her, as though if they touched her they would end up like their pack mate who lay dead in a puddle of her own blood before them.
ALi's head swung around to her pack mates, her eyes gaping wide in horror "I-... I didn't mean to... she... I was-"
She broke off suddenly as one heavy male slammed into her at full speed. ALi put up no resistance as he used his fangs on her back.
A sharp, yelp of pain escaped her throat and she tried to roll onto her back to show her stomach. More males piled on, biting and clawing. ALi screamed out in pain and pinned her tail between her legs "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"
The males parted, and ALi looked up through her good eye at all of the bloodied maws and angry eyes. Mault stood in the inner circle, blood dripping from his maw; he kept his eyes away from her, obviously ashamed of both himself, the rest of the pack. Twist stood not far off from the stocky, tawny-colored wolf. His maw was clean, yet his eyes held the same look as Mault's.
She cast a pleading look up at Twist. The silver wolf stared back at her; regret filed his amber-gold eyes.
Much to her horror, the older wolf padded forward and placed his heavy paw over her throat.
ALi's tongue lolled out of her mouth and stars spun before her eyes, everything was gathering a blackish tone around its edges.
She struggled for breath, beginning to panic, soon enough, everything faded to black.
