renner: On hiatus until further notice.

I am really frustrated with the way things have been happening around here lately, and I will be on a hiatus for a while. I will be back when things seem to be getting better.

I am tired of the chains on originality and the strangleholds on art here, and I am attempting to create my own art community elsewhere. I will give you updates on that later. Much later.

I will still be active with SheezyRadio, and am still working and taking commissions.

TO ADMIN: I will check up on the audio gallery still but dont expect me to be very active. Do not ask me to use my banstick on anyone for a little while.

Erm...what chains on originality and strangleholds on art are you referring to? The only limitations on art here that I know of are 1) no art copyrighted by someone else unless it is for a specific purpose like a wallpaper you make, and only then with credit, and 2) no pornographic/"NC-17" submissions.

This site seems to go through one major culling of artists a year. Tempted to leave myself before something goes hideously wrong

Fucking Christ. Why can't an art site be cool and stay that way? It seems thtat things have gotten worse since CC left (but he seems to be still here, despite the fact he said he'd leave. Not that that's a bad thing).
So far I've gotten no warnings, but I'll probably get warned soon with the shit I have on my thing.
I have the feeling there'll be a mass exodus of artists from this site very very soon.

Oh, also, creating your own art site thing? That'd be an awesome idea, but are you sure you're willing to put that much work into it? If it works out, at least we won't need to worry about work being censored for a loooooong time.
