Final Fantasy VII Advent Children - CALLING

Well, artwork has been slow. I promised STRAY Page 8 about a week ago, and I'm still shading the fuggin' thing.

Been kinda busy, and I may need to find some kind of flash maker in order to show what I've been up to.

See, not only am I artistically inclined ('inherited' the gift of art from my mother's side. Mom even went to Syracuse University for her artwork. I have Mom's blood type (O-) and therefor most like her..) but, being the child of my father, I am also, but not to the same extent, musically inclined also. Played Clarinet in high school and all.

Well, Cory is insanely musically inclined. Plays guitar and keyboards insanely well. My younger sister, Sam, can sing rather well (made an "all-county" group, therefore, being best in the county, in 4th grade. She was the youngest member there at only age 9.) and her husband, Kevin, also plays drums.

So yeah, we've decided to make a band.

Cory's been giving me basics so far, but we've been practicing songs we would like to be able to play later on. Calling (FFVII:AC) is one of them. Kev's got the drum beat down, Cory's got his parts down, and last night he taught me the chords to Calling.

He's off at work now, but I've been practicing, cause we're going up on Wednesday to practice again. The only one who needs to work and finish up is Sam, who's struggling with the Japanese lyrics. She's got about the half the song memorized, but she's still struggling.

But yeah, it's kinda cool that, now that I listen to the song without playing along, I can pick out an organ faintly playing the chords, which I didn't notice before.

It's really funky, how quickly I'm learning, when if you asked me two days ago how to do this I woulda been like "buh???"....

Oh well. Time to pack up dirty laundry, shave, and head over to Mom's house to pick up a lawn mower and such. Bye byeeeee.
