What's it been!? Like 3 years in the making, or something ridiculous like that!?
Fina-freakin-ly we're in the final stretch! And in a week or so, we will release the True Naruto Style the Movie's Trailer! So keep an eye out for that!
Thank you to everyone on Deviantart, Sheezyart, and everywhere else that has supported us! It means a whole hell of a lot to us.
Lets recap on True Naruto Style:
- One day in 2003 Nick Modica and Ryan Lopez had the dumbest idea in the world: Make a parody of the popular anime and comic series, Naruto. On that same day True Naruto Style episode 1 was born. Episode one consisted of random cracks, corny voices, and akward moments. Ninjas in cooking class. What the hell were we thinking... I mean. We had never even used flash before.
- Soon after Episode one's release we recieved a decent response. People were even saying that they were qoting the episode with their friends. Quoting... ...something that we made? Something that we wern't used to. As weird as it seemed (people talking like us in random parts of the world), it made us want to make more episodes.
- Maybe a week or three later we began work on True Naruto Style episode 2. This time we wanted to lengthen it a bit more and have it sound better. Still having limited knowledge in flash (not that I still don't have very limited flash knowledge) we began to brainstorm... ...aka: spouting random crap that was easy to laugh at. The cast of characters became larger. We brought in the Sand team cause we love Kankuro and Temari. Why is Kankuro listening to "We Like to Party"? Tell you the truth, I forgot. Ryan might know. But I'm sure, at the time, we thought it was funny as hell. People also ask how we come up with the voices. It takes about a half hour to drive from Ryan's house to mine. In that timeframe we're constantly talking in voices other than our normal ones. In fact, most of the day we do. We also figure what their voice should sound like by just looking at the character. Anyway... ...this episode we stayed up for two days making. I'll also have to admit that this is my least favorite episode, hahaha.
- After episode 2's release we began to get a very large response. And, unlike most large responses, we recieved almost no hate comments, or comments on how bad it was. Fans liked the series so much, it didn't take long for us to realize that a third episode was inevitable.
- The Third episode of True Naruto Style... ...I must say, is a work of art. Hahahahaha, it took us a week or two to make, but when we released it. Oh man... ...our popularity skyrocketed. We were one of the top downloaded/viewed/favorited Comedy Flash movies on Deviantart. In fact. We may have been THE most viewed flash series altogether on Deviantart. People's entire middle/high schools, and colleges were quoting True Naruto Style. We'd go to anime cons and see people dressed as True Naruto Style characters... ...What had we done? Hahahahahaha! We had to take it farther!
- We began planning True Naruto Style the Movie. Things were looking up for us. Big time. Then, around early June in 2004 something happened. Deviantart... ...the site that could only benefit from all the extra traffic of people wanting to watch True Naruto Style... ...deleted it. Without warning. Not only did it stall our production of TNS the movie, it was a bit sad. Hahahahaha. Other random sites, without permission, would post true naruto style up for all to watch. Narutocentral even posted them. They're good guys though, right? Hahaha, so I'll let them slide.
- Slow but steady we worked on the Movie. At the same time, a raaaaandom-ass art site came up: Sheezyart. I made an accont there and never uploaded anything for a long time. Never occured to me that I could just upload the three TNS episodes right to that site. But back then Sheezyart wasn't that famous. We eventually got to fixing all the little typos in the subtitles and making it run smoothly. After putting True Naruto Style episode one on sheezyart we instantly rose to #1 in the flash animation area of the site. And after episode 2 we became so dominant on that site that it wasn't even funny. When we relesed episode 3 it was clear... ...we were the most favorited and viewed site on sheezyart. Without ever even leaving a single comment. Episode 3 has probably as many views as the top 20 other flashes on sheezyart combined not including episode 2 and 1 that also rank in the top 5.
- We now had lots more motivation to work on the Movie. At about the time we released True Naruto Style on sheezy, we realized that Ryan's not-as-popular-but-still-quite-popular series, Naruto Dreams, had been deleted from Deviantart. So... ...we began putting them on sheezy.
- Now we have a completed Trailer and an official release date for True Naruto Style the Movie! As of now, its planned release date is sometime in spring. But hopefully we'll get it on a big screen at Fanime con in San Jose this year! If anyone has any fanime connections, oh please, please, please help me out! I would love you forever! Anyone that really wants to see True Naruto Style the Movie should get theirselves over to Fanime Con 2006 this year. We'll be there, as well as a couple other voice tallents that are featured in the movie. We'll keep you all updated on when, and where True Naruto Style the Movie will be playing. But yeah, where ever we play it, we hope to see some of you there!
So yeah! Spread the word! True Naruto Style The Movie! Fanime Con 2006! Hopefully, hahahahaha! And keep your eye open for the TNS the Movie Trailer that will be featured on Deviantart and Sheezyart in the next week or so!
Thank you all again for all the wonderful comments, fanart, and all the support!
Keep in touch style!

My best friend and I still make random references to the series. xD
A TNS movie would just be the greatest thing ever.
And, yeah, it is kind of strange how quickly things can travel over the internet and become popular. Even stranger when it's actually still funny when you go back to watch it again a few weeks later.
TheWalrus Says:
At Sakura Con my friend is gonna dress up as Kiba and yell 'WHO WANTS SOME BEEF JERKY?' Thanks for filling every day at school with humor and obscure references.

I have been a TNS fan ever since I seen the original and I was wondering if you can find a way to put them in a video format. Itt would be cool if we could just keep them on the computer. :)
