Mr OMA: Kart Collab: Change of Plans

Okay, I'm SERIOUSLY rethinking the whole Kart Collab thing.

See, I had originally planned keeping it within Livejournal drivers to avoid getting it clusterf**ked. But now people from all over, most of whom don't have an LJ and I'm not gonna force one on them have been making stuff and I don't want to shoot them down. So basically, everyone who wants in LJ or no, is free to enter their own submissions. You can draw your own kart or as I've seen, draw yourself in an already existing kart with your emblem on it.

Obviously, the due date is gonna need some pushing, so I'm extending this project to February 10th.

REVISED ORIGINAL POST OMG OXYMORON:

Disk has made me realize that I should prolly have a post of some sort to explain my big Mario Kartesque collab between all of the folks here who have played a Mario Kart game sometime in their life, more recently the absurdly addictive Mario Kart DS. Here are the details.

Anyone who wants in is more than welcome to. All you need to do is draw your character or a character of yours and a Kart. The character can be doing anything. Driving the kart, sitting on the kart, standing near, in, or on the Kart, being smashed by the Kart, getting driven by the Kart (LIKE IN RUSSIA!), whatever. Likewise, as we've seen in the likes of Double Dash and MKDS, you can design your Kart in any kind of fashion, be it the traditional style Karts, the new age Karts as seen in more recent games, or a totally custom one like those in MKDS, whether it matches your character's style, taste, or not. Just remember that the custom ones have to have a smallish size to them to be recognized as Karts. This isn't Twisted Metal, after all. You may also draw your characters in existing Karts if you wish.

Also, I realize a good load of you are incapable of drawing or drawing well. Not a problem. If you know of an artist who'd be more than willing to help you out and draw your character and Kart for you, it'll be just as accepted. You can make requests here if you'd like. All I ask is that if you find someone to draw for you that you take further details to email or another sort of messaging system so as to not ruin the suprise.

You can also submit as many characters as you like. Once you have them ready, save the pic in the highest quality possible and send it to me so that I may apply it to the collab itself. You MUST have a solid color background or transparency. It would help tremendously if the colored background, should you go that route, be a color that isn't used in the actual picture.

The deadline to get your drawings in is February 10th, 2006. I think that should be more than enough time to get things done.

So hop to it, racers![/I]
