So riiiiight...

I drew an awesome angel and no one ever seen it...

But lets see, the neighbour artist with "kawaii" in the nick, and like 1700 comments given because they're a comment whore, draws some stereotypical poorly detailed girl with MOTHERFUCKING HUGE eyes and gree/blue/red hair, gets like a billion favorites and comments?!

Whoa, fuck that.

So guess the amount of quality your art is and if it's better or not is judged wether you're a comment whore... or if it's some stereotypical thing that makes fat Otaku nerds happy?

I mean c'on you moffos, give feedback, aren't you tired of the anime clichês out there, aren't you tired of the random huge eyes and impossible hair colors and crap?

Am I forced to assume that Deviant Art > Sheezy Art?

I bet if Leonardo Da Vinci got reincarnated and re-did the Mona Lisa, and posted it here, it would gather dust and never be commented on-to...

And all because uncle Leonardo doesn't appreciate that much to go and comment on everyone's art or to draw shitty anime fan art right?

This site is more and more about Page Views really, if you don't comment a lot around to spread your avatar as a link for people to see your page, your art isn't worth it?!

Edit: Sorry if I was a bit aggressive/incisive up there, I was in a hell a mood yesterday.

I really agree with you, in principle... all the random anime shit is old, boring, and uncreative.

However, that picture you sumitted was very sketcy, still fairly anime-ish, and it's very doubtful that when it was thumbnailed for the front page that people could even see what was going on. Look at the thumbnail of it on your userpage... it looks like some random color scribbles. People who get lots of views and comments do so because - even if it is very stereotypical and uncreative - it's still generally skillfull. Skill and creativity, sadly, don't often go hand-in-hand these days.

Ryoken Says:

Sounds familiar...

Zombi Magen Says:

how do you think SA became a mod

people whore themselves out to be the center of attention because theyre self conscious and want reassurance. The truly good people are quiet and enjoy their art themselves, whether people go nuts over it or not. Dont bother caring about all that.

Zeralia Says:

I tend to avoid looking at anything anime-ish unless its done well. I rarely comment and I rarely browse around. I guess I'm one of the more quieter artists. I upload my work so I and whoever else wants to, can enjoy it.

So yeah, try not to let it bug you as much.

Virangelus Says:

Actually I think your stuff is quiet marvelous.

Alas, it's something the the original styled people ahve to go through. I have a million and one dragon ideas and no matter how I lay them out I don't think anybody is ever going to love them. :S Good luck with everyhing though! I'll certianly try my best to comment ^^ But I work alot so the only thing that I can promise you is that when I DO comment, I'll attempt insightful critique.
