I advice that what I'm going to say may infuriate many people, A good suggestion would be to have an open mind; besides I'm trying to be as nice as possible.
My mother tongue is not English, if I'm murdering your language, bear in mind that I'm doing my very best to communicate the written thoughts in this journal entry.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are two things: Anime/Manga style and Anime/Manga inspired style.
What's the difference? One is made by Japanese people and the other is made from people that are not Japanese (Most of the occidental hemisphere and other parts of Asia).

You know guys? I'm a fan of Japanese drawing style like you and everyone, but let's put the feet on the earth (An old saying in a land where I have been before):

If you aren't Japanese, your style is not Anime/Manga.

Trying to imply otherwise is being very pretentious and not very smart by your part.
You can always say your style was inspired by those and that's a good thing, convince yourself of it like I did and you won't get hurt later.

Ask yourself where have you been born, but don't let that affect your view of anything, the Japanese inspires you; You may not be Japanese by birth, but you can say proudly that you're an "Anime/Manga loving artist".

If you're asking where I stand in this matter to come and say all that with a straight face(or a keyboard?), I can say that my style is an evolving hybrid of Anime-inspired style with cartoon and I'm conscious of it, so that makes me an Anime/manga loving artist.
