I hate seeing only white Disney princesses. I don't think they suck. I actually love them but I hate the concept. The only princesses that aren't white is Jasime and Pocohantus or however she spells her name. Yeah. I think they should have an African princess and I think she should be dark chocolate. Sorry if that offends anyone but I just think Disney isn't as national as they claim to be. Did you ever see a black mermaid in the disney series? No. The only time I did was in Tarzan's cartoon. She was the only black princess and dammit, she was on day time TV with a two minute part. >_< And she sounded white too. That just irks me. I think they should do an African folk lore or sorts involving a princess and so forth. Lion King doesn't count becuase they were all white too. Even a slave story would be cool. A little risky but then so was "The Huchback of Notre Dame" by involving the catholic church. So there. That's my thought for the day.

Just because someone is white in skin-colour, it doesn't mean they're not from a foreign country.
...And I would never trust a Disney series. I've seen one or two episodes of spin-offs from movies, and they really do bite ass. Not enough money.
I dunno. Meh.
I guess Disney is only willing to invest in fairy tales with complete roots in their respective countries, hence Notre Dame (French), Mulan (Chinese), Pocahontas (American), Beauty and the Beast (French), Snow White (God only knows what that was, by the names it sounds English, though), Cinderella (French) and Sleeping Beauty (Also I think might be French), and Little Mermaid (English or French -Who the hell knows).
Who knows. The animation industry truly is weird.

Weeeeeeeell, Disney does pretty much have a monopoly on the whole high-budget animation scene (though they've ditched the old-fashioned way and have gone mostly CG... sigh, that's the thing I still cry about). Gotta keep in mind though, 75% of the most popular kids' cartoons these days feature either a full-on cast of ethnic characters with the odd white kid to keep things in perspective or are focused on a non-Caucasian family.
I don't mind that, but I actually HAVE flipped thru Saturday morning cartoons and wondered where all the little white kids ran off to. *rofl*
