I was up at 08:30 this morning (awake at 08:00 - took me half an hour to get used to the idea) and out of the house by 09:30 after lots of half asleep dallying in trying to find various bits and pieces.

It was straight to The Framers Gallery on School Street - where I got all four pages of Brog The Stoop framed while I waited. I was of course sat in an entire galleries worth of really nice art. It's given me ideas. I am SO getting into painting this summer (I've already got one double portrait commission, so it's all good) and I actually have plans on what I'll be painting ^^

Once that was done, I was in the SAD with all my images ready for 10:20 (after walking a quarter of the damn ring road, all up hill, ugh)

So, from that point on, it was setting up my little bit of the exhibition.

After spending most of yesterday getting annoyed at the fucking sticky mount board while mounting the eight Holes illustrations, it turned out I could only put up six of those eight and that I had to re-cut the damn edges on ALL of them.

I then put them up and was told, no less than five times, that I had to rearrange them. So that was done.

Then I had to rearrange the Brog pages four or five times, and take off the back of the frame and masking-tape the images to the frame and then replace them. With some more rearranging for good measure.

At this point I managed to slice my index and little finger on my right hand with the window frame of page four as I put it up - bevelled at a forty-five degree angle, it fucking hurt!

Of course, there was the added extra of fetching tables from a room at the opposite side of the building. I had to carefully arrange some of those as well.

That was it for today, but I've had to buy a white cloth for my table and a flip-filo thing for some of my images (also to go on the table) and I have tomorrow to finish sorting everything out. I am currently colouring one or two more images to go IN the filo.

Ugh. Busy day.

Oh, and as I was wandering around today (as you do, trying to find tutors and the like) I noticed that I'm one of about five students out of goodness knows how many that are exhibiting, that have done almost nothing on the computer. What is this? Back in the day, EVERYTHING was done by hand.. but no more! .. ugh.

And that reminds me - once I'd finished rearranging the Holes images for the fifth time, Jhon came over and threatened to make me go recut them all again. I quite literally told him to 'bugger off' oo; Not a good thing to say to a Tutpr - I know I was stressed, but what the hell?

Man, that sounds like the perfect example of a shitty day. That's good though, that you told Jhon to "bugger off", man I'd probably rip him a new one. Sorry your day sucked so badly.
