I graduated last Saturday! I am free, free of that oppressive place they call a high school! I sat through the ceremony, which honestly wasn't that bad, and I withstood my family's preening. Oh god, I'm free. I never thought this day would come. I knew it was there, that it had to happen someday, but... I guess you just never know what to say when it finally does!

I dropped by a an awesome art supply store in Santa Fe last weekend, and I ran into a sketchbook that I positively HAD to own! So I bought it right there, on the spot.
...and thus, Aaron learns about the difference in paper weights and thickness. I really liked the density of the paper in my previous book (which still has, like 10 blank pages), but the thing was unweildy to draw in. This one is perfect for drawing, but the paper is very heavy, so the marks from my lead pen are particularly dark. It also smudges VERY easily, which annoys me to no end.
And so, since I like the book so much, I will continue to use it, but most of the stuff I post from it will probably not be great, so I will classify it under the WIPs section.
