A lot has happened just yesterday. I think I have smiled more yesterday then I have in months. The reason? Well my gastric bypass surgeon has accepted me for surgery. All I have to do now is lose 20 pounds.
I got most of my pre-op stuff done in Denver and now I only have a few things to do. First I have to lose the 20 pounds, then I have to get a pyschological appointment which is no big deal, and then I have to get some blood taken and watch a video thing about nutrition after the surgery.
While I was in Denver at the seminar for weight loss surgery I learned a lot. For everyone who thinks this is the easy way out it is not. There is a lot you have to give up. You exercise of course but you never ever get to have a big meal again. I also learned that the only way I will ever be skinny is by getting the surgery. Why? Because statistics show that someone like me who has been obese all of her life and then becomes morbidly obese can lose only 10% of their weight on diets and then they gain 15% of it back. This is because of our bodies. It is hard to explain so I am not gonna get deep into the issue.
Another thing that I found upsetting was that bigger people were shown to make less at their jobs. Also there was a poll with people and most of them said they would not hire a fat person. This world is so freakin predigous.
Anyway, this is my only door to take to be skinny and I can't wait to have a bunch of energy and get to wear cute clothes. I am really into diversifying the style in this world. It would just make it a more fun place.
School is going to be over with once next week is over. That is so awesome. I am ready to lose that 20 pounds!!! Have a nice day everyone!!!
