is a project I've been working on for a while now. I've spent weeks advertising it, and it went up from 300 to 700 hits per day in 3 days :)
What I ask of you is any suggestions, or on how I could advertise the site, or anything I can do to make more people donate! I won't make you donate, as I know SA's members aren't the richest of folk , BUT if any of you could spread the word in ANY way I'd be really grateful. I've already talked about it on thebirdship.com forums (which are a success by the way, we're running the weeklies every week :))
SO If you guys have suggestions on increasing traffic, that'd be great!
ALSO I set up a journal which I'll TRY to update daily, with ... updates and a new pic of me to prove that I'm not a fraud site
heyy I want that kind of dream too :C but I'm limited by what I have here around me, which is practically nothing. The thought of setting up our own animation studio was the best thing we came up with really.
it's really no problem at all. I don't need any banner space though, seeing as I have nothing to advertise.
Instead, I would like to know if you could make a part for the collab I'm running. There will be a sponsorship involved, and I am going to see if people are willing to donate a portion of that money to you.
Would you be interested?
Its basically an FBF collab where each person does a 45 second music video of their favorite songs.
24 FPS
45+ seconds
stage size is 600 by 325
bg color is white
I have several threads around, including the FBF club and the Newgrounds BBS
BBS thread: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic.php?id=694117&page=1
unfortunately, people aren't too excited about donating part of their share, but if you finish your part, you can have the same equal share as the rest of us. last time that was 45 dollars, and hopeufully it will be more this time around.
Yeah the more you donate , the higher you are on the chart Also because Toronto, Los Angeles and Vancouver are the 3 leading animation cities in the world, and when you finish there Pixar is right next door :0 Plus I love competition, and I just can't evolve around here because (not to brag) but there's not much, probably becuase we've only made one cartoon series that we keep bragging about I also REALLY wanna meet one of my idols Bobby Chiu , who's an award winning designer and teacher :)
Heh, alright, that sounds good enough. Pixar eh, that'd sure be a great place to work one day. Yeah, LA is the best. The school "CalArts" looks awesome, it's where all the greats of pixar went, including Tim Burton, and the guy who made fosters. What's the one australian cartoon series there?
Dunno, the kiwi one is Bro Town. I'm not from Aussie Plus its VERY hard to get to the US these days (visa wise), though I did check that school out. Gendy Tarkovsky, the guy who made Dexter's lab samurai Jack and powerpuff girls also finished there :)
