Anyway, I was going to give an outline of the following paper, but since I can't find the outline I'm just going to quote the paper's URL and let people read it. Deals with 17 issues Christianity had to overcome if it were to succeed as a religion, either by being true or some other means.
http://www.tektonics.org/lp/nowayjose.html
Be sure to check out the bottom before complaining about Islam or Mormonism meeting the guidelines.

Like I said... some of the new content of the argument is the social factors that would have made it harder. To my knowledge, the argument hasn't been made in that structure before Holding.

I found an outline, so I'm just going to bump this right up and tell people to refer to the link for more detail:
Point 1 -- Who Would Buy One Crucified?
Point 2 -- Neither Here Nor There: Or, A Man from Galilee??
Point 3 -- The Wrong Resurrection
Point 4 -- What's New? What's Not Good
Point 5 - Don't Demand Behavior
Point 6 -- Tolerance is a Virtue
Point 7-- Stepping Into History
Point 8 -- Do Martyrs Matter, and More
Point 9 -- Human vs. Divine
Point 10 -- No Class
Point 11 - Don't Rely on Women!
Point 12 - And Don't Trust Bumpkins, Either!
Point 13 - You Can't Keep a Secret!
Point 14 -- An Ignorant Deity?
Point 15 --- Prophet Without Honor
