What effects (if any) do you guys use when you play bass, and how often do you use them? I almost always play using a KORG ToneWorks Modeling Signal Processor for guitar, set to a high-gain program or a high-chorus program. Sometimes I'll apply the Octave or Pitch Shifter effect on occasion as well. Even when I play clean, I just like to patch in through the KORG unit because of the built-in chromatic tuner.

I like to add a bit of compression as I'm not a hard player and it brings out the notes. Maybe a bit of chorus or overdrive to spice it up and push it through the mix but nothing amazing, I normally use a pre-processed bass through a sampler anyway as I'm a guitar player and don't have the right hands, not yet anyway.
