IshiiSachiko Here! With some helpful hint to keeping space on your Hard Drive with all that wonderful art you draw!

Some graphic formats make bigger sizes of files than others!

GIFs are low-sized images only god for low qualitiy things such as advertising banners, cilp art, etc. (moving avatars and icons too) The reason they aren't great for Art saving is because they only support 256 colors or shades of grey (for those grayscale images. This makes them not good for those wonderful peices of art.
Only save in this file format if you don't care about quality and more about space.

BITMAPs are a standard for Windows and only support RGB color and bit depths of 1,4, 8, or 24 bits per Channel, making them unsutible for professional imaging. File sizes are really high for this format, so stay away from these is you want to share your art on the Net.

JPEGs are the best for internet use and other types of applications. They support RGB, CMYK, and greyscale color spaces. It can be compressed with no noticeable loss of quality!(up to a point) JPEG is the best all around format!

TIFFs are to never be used! Sure it's good for professinal pubishing, but are super high in size and should be never used for the internets!

Thanks for your time guys! Hope you can keep your file sizes down, but still keep quality! You can ask me anything Kay? Later!
