Lets have a character discussion. We could share character names, backstories, and info about character relationships and how they act in general. might even be able to arrange some new RP opportunities for those into it.

uhm since i haven't played him in a while and i doubt anyone cared anyway, i'll post talis' info.
talis - male cythid monk
talis was thrown out of the monestary in the mountains and came to tek. he'd been studying down south for a while and generally surface wise is a whisky priest (meaning he preeches good will etc but is rather morally corrupt). he's a chain smoker but doesn't really drink that often. tends to like his guitar.
the notable thing about talis was that whenever he opened his mouth, LIES came out. mostly lies intended to make people laugh at others and he would just build them up and up and up until there was just this absolutely rediculous pile of nonsense where something once was. this tended to get people mad at him but really, it was less a lolmakesfun thing and more an IC thing. since as no one ever bothered to find out...
talis was cursed by a pooka. while he was out in the woods meditating one day, he heard an animal all screaming in pain and found an injured pooka in a hunter trap. he didn't know what it was, since he kind of lived in a city and then as a generally secluded monk for most of his life. sticking to monkhood he took the pooka back to the monestary.
course, everyone THERE knew what it was and freaked out on him. pookas are rather destructive spirits and are known for bringing on misery and all that. however they can only do it inside a home if you invite them in...which talis did. now, the pooka did not actually CAUSE problems at the monestary but you could say that its whole malicious sense of humor worked as a kind of self fullfilling prophecy. talis was not only ostrecized and asked to leave but as he was going the pooka showed its 'gratitude' by giving him what's known as 'the pooka's tongue' - a curse where he's not capable of telling the full truth without great effort.
talis did learn more or less how to control this when he really needed to. the use of cigarettes (nicotine is calming to him) actually helped.
talis generally doesn't like to go to the southlands due to bad memories and despite the wise-guy facade prettymuch kept to himself and did the hermit lifestyle thing. but. y'know. for some reason he was a massive target for people being dicks so he's been more or less retired until i feel increadably masochistic and want to be generally treated like crap for some IC bully's amusement again.

Brass, I dun think I should explain, so I'll go with my more favorite character..
Lythia - Yes, an offworlder, born on the planet Adeus. A normal SilverMitt Ferret, of brown hair and navy blue eyes. She lived with her grandmother when her parents died at a young age. Nothing too emo, she lived quite happily and well with her grandma. Granny was middle-class and sorta lived on the outskirts of this poor city, so she was actually pretty well off.
THEN the emo stuff happened, the entire city was ransacked and pillaged by an entire Clan of Bandits, numbering in the hundreds. As it was, Lythia was kidnapped by her grandmother, both were presumed to have been killed in the massacres. She was only four. :'<
Run ahead about 4 years, she was half-servant, half-rogue-in-training, taken in by a somewhat nice 20-year old. She was going to be recruited in just to be less of an outcast, but nontheless, she was a captive and generally treated like crap. One of her training missions had her preparing a sleep toxin, which she accidentally ingested and overdosed on, putting her out for a few weeks. Since then, it had given her spontanious Lethargy, and made her a mild Narcoleptic. In other words, if she wasn't hyper and happy, she was tired and damn near passed-out.
Soon, the bandits heard of a great treasure, and sent out a squad to go find it. This squad took Lythia along. They heard that it was a magical elixer, that gave the drinker great magic power and a divine blessing. Being evil of heart, this might've ended bad, but luckily, they had Lythia. So they took her to the shrine where this Treasure was, and sneaking through a lot of traps and lock-picking the magic locks, they got to it quite easily. They were just about to get to the altar where the elixer was, until a familiar Red and Gold stranger came, with quite a motley crew of his own.
You see, this was BRASS' Shrine. He was worried about finding an heir of his own magic discipline, and his whole Guardian-of-the-planet dealio, so he made that.. roughly 100 year ago! He travelled 100 years into the future just to check on it, and found the gang of Rogues sneaking to find it, thinking someone pure of heart would've found it like he Prophesized. He and his buddies busted some heads, and as it were, they were too late. Just as they knocked out the leader, Lythia had taken the drink, had somewhat of a sensory overload and passed out.
She awoke a good deal later, 100 years in the past, with a 12-year-old Brass standing over her, arms folded. He explained the entire ordeal to her, and told her that she was free, and was kinda thrown into the whole being-his-heir thing. It was her choice that she could continue to live how she was, or stay with him to learn how to use her power.
....Hmmm. Stay with a buncha Bandits where she was somewhat of a Slave, or live Free and learn magic powers with a very nice guy?
Yeah, she stayed with Brass, and over a long 10 years time, she had learnt how to use her new gift, even surpassing Brass in magic strength, learning how to become a Mimic, and.. well, ending up with her fur gradually turning Purple and her hair to Blue colours, due to Brass' magic influence on her. In roughly 4 years, she had learnt Brass' alchemy, and Brass let her go off and start travelling on her own accord. By 18, she was very knowledgable, and well matured. Brass decided that she was ready to stop being his Apprentice, and she was free to go wherever. But they had bonded, like Daughter and Father, but just as well, Sister and Brother, and were quite inseperable. Lythia never DID leave Brass' home, but she travelled on her own.
Using Brass' most powerful magic technique, known to the Sabrousian mages as a more advanced form of Astral Walk, the Aether Flux, she travelled Dimensions, Space, and Time, finding different planets and lands where she learned, on one occasion, by mere accident, she stumbled upon fair Sabrous, winding up in the North desert.
..And stumbling head-on with the lost Nikitak Ranger, Cypress. Emphasis on HEAD-on. He didn't have his pants, you see, and was somewhat drunk.. it was thankful he didn't realize she wasn't a Chuian. But before he got his senses, she had taken the form of a Chuian, still retaining her Ferret-like stretched Torso and her purple colouring.
Since then, she's grown quite attached to the Nikitak, and has taken up somewhat of an alcoholism. Regularly hangs with Brass, Velesti and a good deal of other people in North Tek. Happy end? Maybe. ;D
