It's that island hopping nephew of a professor Mike Jones fighting his way through underground tunnels with nothing more than a yoyo most of the time. Personally? I'm surprised this isn't a classic, known by most, if not all old gamers as "that game you can't beat because no one ever had the letter!" Oh man, the various strange levels, fighting ghosts with bolas, eventaully finding proof of aliens, and all that...

The only thing I felt that really bit me about the game was the clunky movement. Seeing that vastly improved in StarTropics 2 really relieved me, but still...

I've heard of that game but I never did get to play it, I'll hafta see if I can find it at a Gamestop or somewhere. It's for the NES right? I'm pretty sure I saw it on sale recently.

Oh yeah, if you do get it and the letter isn't on the instruction manual, remember this number: 747 You'll need it to escape the whale level.

I actually found this game in my bucket of random NES games I had bought at a pawn shop awhile back! Coincidence, ne? O.O I tried the game and it's pretty tough. You REALLY don't want to die because they send you ALLLLLL the way back to the start of the dungeon and you hafta redo everything ; but that's how those old NES games are, they were all really tough.
