As a musician looking for the next greatest and newest generator, I come across a lot of fun stuff, whether it be a program or site. I user a number of mediums to achieve what I believe is the best sound.
Here are some of the programs I utilize daily. They're more than just music, so pay attention!
And I utilize soundfont files (SF2 files) in FL to get real sounds that aren't offered in any generator. You can find a lot of helpful ones at http://www.sf2midi.com/
Most of these programs can be found by torrent searching. I prefer Azureuz myself, but that's just a personal preference.
A great place for torrent searching is http://www.torrentscan.com/
Some need CD mounting (these programs are known as NRG, ISO, CUE, AKAI, ect file formats). If you need to mount several CD images onto a hard drive, then Daemon Tools offers a great mounter called Virtual DAEMON Manager. You can find that at http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/index.php?
In some programs, AKAI and some other formats cannot be recognized without help from a third party wrapper. Native Instruments offers a lot of great things, including a decent wrapper that can be understood in programs like Fruit Loops Studio called Kontakt. You can find that here at http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=home_us
Happy hunting! And if you need any help, don't hesitate to ask!
