I wanted to make a post to try and help some of the beginners at flash start out...I know its been done before but here is my little guide. Hope it helps! Scroll down until you see the current Flash (right now it is 8). Click on thatâ%u20AC¦Its pretty straight forward from there. 2. Now I Have Flash But How Do I Use It? Here is where I will list some of the best places to find tutorials for how to start making flashes. [b]Newgrounds Flash Area (http://newgrounds.com/flash/index.html)[/b] There are some good tutorials to learn the basics here. And as you go farther down there are some more advanced ones for nice effects. [b]Pixel 2 Life (http://www.pixel2lif..acromedia_Flash/All /)[/b] This is a great site with a shit load of different tutorials. You can find almost any tutorial you need here. Also they have tutorials for most major programs including Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, etc. [b]FlashKit (www.flashkit.com)[/b] One of the most popular sites for tutorials on Newgrounds. This is also a very good site with lots of stuff for flash. Not only do they have tutorials but also fonts, sound fx, etc. At first it might be a little hard to find what you are looking for but it gets easier over time. [b]OMFG Itss a Tutorial! By Smoking_Chimney (http://newgrounds.com/portal/view/262502)[/b] I personally think this is one of the best tutorials on Newgrounds. It has 35 sections on mostly anything a beginner-intermediate would want to learn. This is a must check! [b]3. I Know Some Flash But I Wanna Make Games![/b] In terms of games I don't know much really. But I decided to put this in anyways. First off to make games you must learn something called AS. That plus animating\drawing and you have yourself a game. Since I am not action scripter my self, I have made a small list of some good AS tutorials\threads. [b]AS: Main Thread (http://newgrounds.co../topic.php?id=22980 8)[/b] AS:Main is a huge thread made by Denvish which has a huge list of user made AS tutorials. This is a great place to get started if you want to learn how to do some AS. [b]Flash AS Tutorial By Vance- (http://newgrounds.com/portal/view/171814)[/b] This is a good, basic one for a real beginner at AS. This will teach you the real basics for what AS does. [b]Macromedia's AS Tutorials (http://www.actionscr...org/tutorials.shtm l)[/b] A big list of AS tutorials made by Macromedia. This is really a good place to go. It has everything from variables to multi channel sound. This is also a must go to for AS learning. That's really all I can think of that would help a newbie at flash\AS.
