the Breaks are actually it's own genre together, and technically DnB is anything with a substantial amount of D with B in it :]
tho, the genre today is anything really bassy, fast paced, prevalent drums, with a long and drawn out melodic process building off of the bassline with slowly progressing drumlines. at least from my observation. dnB could technically be very slow.

yeah, but if you look at the most popular part, currently, you'd see noisia, phace and the dark neo tech stuff, which has no melody, or something really minimal and the accent is on the production and FX?
