Well, I have played megaman legends 1 (technically Megaman 64 for N64) I never played MML2. I wished it came out on N64 though. I hope they make both those sequals for the Wii. I heard you can download not just Nintendo titles but sega genisis and Atari. I hope you can do the same with playstation and panasonic 3do.
As for your plot, I really dont know. Only if there was a site I could find that had topics of MML2. Maybe then I can help you out a bit.

I think the plot for MML3 Would be how the heck you will get Megaman back from that Planet and return to earth, Maybe being able to play as Roll and Tron on the planet to get parts and make a ship and go and get him while he trys to make one on his end or something.
