Today I saw the website for the expansions new skills and stuff for classes... even though im really unhappy with what blizzard is doing with all of the Lore, and raiding content im... knida excited about some of the new spells for warlocks and mages... some of them look really cool, like... FINALLY a new pet for warlocks, and even mages will get a water elemental now... and even shamans will be able to summon an earth or fire elemental for a short time (even though i thought they would get the spirit wolf summon).
What do you think of all this?

Uhm. Yeah. Lore is messed up.
New skills are not. I'll commend blizzard on a job well done concerning the classes's new talents and spells. I'm really impressed with the mage ones, especially. Really, they met almost everything players wanted in a spell/talent redo.
I'm still mad, though. No warriors for Blood Elves *sniff*

ya... the new skills are nice and cool... though im unhappy that they havnt announced a warlocks finger of death spell... though this is just preview #1... maybe theyll release more
(OH GOD!!! another lore rant)
bloodelves shouldnt even be playable cause in warcraft 3 TFT, i beleive ALL bloodelves went to outland and were loyal to illidan... now in the expansion the BE's are going to have to eventually kill their own brethren, Prince Kaelthas, their supposed ally's the naga, and even illidan... o and... i recall the draenei joining illidan... tho they were the "broken" or "lost ones" and not the EREDAR!...
From the books ive read and looking up alot on wikipedia... the eredar were demonic to begin with... infact Sargaeras locked them up because they were evil (along with all other demons/nasties through the twisting nether), but the eredar corrupted/convinced/manipulated Sargaeras into thinking that the fate of the universe was to become evil/dead/darkness, rather than the titans creations of worlds and protecting them or whatever, so... like... Sargaras released all the nasties he locked away who became his army and appointed the 2 strongest the be his lieutenants, Archimonde and Kil'jaeden. Archimonde was to lead the armys into battle while Kil'jaeden was to recruit more nasties...
^lol, run-on sentance^

Oh. I thought it was that Sargeras came to the Eradar's planet and corrupted two strong leaders of the planet: Archimond and Kil'jaeden. Not that they were evil before. And yeah! That doesn't make any sence with the bloodelves. Maybe Blizzard was just desperately looking for a character.
^Personally, I thought Pandaren would be fun to have...^

Hahaha I totally concur with you, as soon as I saw the new Shaman stuff I almost forgot about how much I hate the lore betrayal by Blizzard. ALMOST.
Dual-wielding is a long awaited skill for us Shams.
And that Earthen Shield for restoration shaman (like me) is going to be a godsend. Not to mention the Elemental summoning totems. DAMN COOL!
I'm very excited for it. I'm sure level 60-70 is going to be painful as hell, but atleast it's only 10 more levels.
quote: tho they were the "broken" or "lost ones" and not the EREDAR!.[/quote]
I think Blizzard introduced this new twist on the Eredar to justify why the Alliance doesn't get the hidous mutant Draenei, which is a cop out. If you're going to give them a monster race, give them a goddamn monster race!

Exactly, they needed to find a primarily human race that hadn't been allied yet to add to the Horde because it's clear that this expansion hopes to level out the prominent Alliance/Horde shift. Which, sadly, has to fuck with the lore. But perhaps a mysterious reason for the Blood Elf's sudden shift in loyalties will be revealed through new quests or whatever.

Totally agreed. And the shaman stuff has definitly persuaded me to make one as well as the other classes new stuff... I'm thinking of a class to make my new Draenei character.
