You may have heard of a band called Dragonforce, especially if you're a guitarist. They are famous for their incredible guitar solos, but i think they are a bit short lived. I do think the solo's are amazing, because I can't play guitar for my life, but with Dragonforce, it's as if the band relys on them. I'm sure they have an awesome drummer, and an amzing keyboard player too, but it seems they are ignored. When you see Dragonforce play, the camera's are almost always pointed at the guitars. It is amazing, i know, but I can't help thinking how much the rest of the band is ignored. We can all say "if you don't like it, stay away from it", and I do; but I just want to get something off my chest.

yes, the guitars are amazing, but the first thing i noticed about them is the lyrics. their vocalist has an amazing voice. you don't usually realize how complicated the vocal parts are until you try to sing their songs. but the vocals are well executed, and the lyrics are fantastic. the rest of the band is not really ignored at all. there are many fans for every part of the band -- the more visible portion of their fans is just the guitar fans, but then again, it's that way with eery band that has good guitarists.

Amazing my ass, I could play inhumanly fast if I played the EXACT samething over and over. By far one of the most over-rated bands ever. Famous for speed and nothing else.

Over at 4chan, Dragonforce said to be crappy. Been seeing it for a while now. I think I need to get a few songs to see...

I think it's funny when bands like this take themselves seriously. Powermetal is one of my pet peeves. Mmm, the Irritating Train came through today. Dragonforce must be on tour.

I hate dragonforce sorry, but they use computers to speed up their guitars. Ever see them live? They can't play live. They utterly suck. I know most bands aren't good live, but Dragonforce really takes the cake. They give power metal a bad rep.

I used to like them until I realized what real compositions sound like. Speed, even if it is artificial, does not equal talent. I was once a sad sap who thought that. Please weep for my former self.
