So I figured everyone should be hitting band camp. Mine starts in two weeks. It might be a little early for this, but how 'bouts everyone posts their funny stories/annoyed rants/talk about their shows?
I know I'll have plenty.

As for funny stories...
I'm sure we're all familiar with "drill sheets" for field shows, right? Well, the second Wednesday it was really windy. It was about an hour before lunch time and we were just sort of lollygagging between setting sets, and all of a sudden this kid's drill sheet goes flying up into the air.
A few people turned to watch it, so our assistant drum majour called everyone to attention, then called an about face and told us to watch the paper.
We watched the paper until it basically vanished in the sky. It went up there like a balloon . I wonder where it landed...
This story is shorter:
Today was our first performance for the season, and this poor kid's pants dropped in the middle of the last song. What makes it worse was that he was standing in the front when it happened. It was funny, but the poor kid was a freshman, so that must've been a nightmare come true.
My band camp was the last two weeks of August.
