Late tuesday night my grandma passed away in her sleep. Grandpa's not taking it too well. We still don't know how she died but she's been bedridden for months. The funeral is saturday at the Maryneal Cemetary at 2p.m. There's just one thing that I can't get over and it's how young and peaceful Granny looked in her casket. She looked like she was just 40 years old.
Unfortunately nothing's really changed; we're all still fighting. My sister Shelly sent a text message to mom telling her she needs to leave them church people alone and take care of her mother; nevermind the fact that Shelly ditched her husband and 2 sons and no one has heard from her in over 7 years. So mom and Shelly aren't getting along right now. Grandpa is being a pain in the butt as usual. So not much has changed.
I am thankful that God brought her out of her suffering once and for all. She has finally been freed from the curse of sin and everything that goes with it. One day we who have accepted the free gift of salvation will all be free from the curse as we are told in Revelation 21:4 that "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, sadness, crying or pain. For the former things have passed aways." Let's pray that day will come soon.
Sometime after the funeral I will post a new forum thread and blog in the Creation Club relating to the problem of death.
