"Nobody in the United States government gave much credit to the approaches from a division of the British Ministry of Intelligence when they contacted them regarding a proposed attack by ‘supernatural forces’ on key public locations. They were a relic, a leftover from a bygone age when people still believed in monsters, why should they take it seriously? Just another example of the British refusal to throw anything away and update. That was before. Three weeks later the underground rail stations mysteriously went dead. Literally. Trains rolled into empty stations with nothing but bodies to greet them. That was when they high-ups started digging into files too old to have names. Outlining tales of witches, demons and monsters of myth, firsthand accounts of the supernatural. What they found there shocked and scared a nation that had believed that its greatest threat came from terrorism and retaliation attacks. Here was an enemy that defied explanation and couldn’t be fought with conventional means. Worse still, they were already among them. The Agency was formed that very day, sworn to secrecy and operating with full sanction to do whatever was necessary to get the job done. Our mandate is simple, ‘to hold back the night’." We're looking for artists to join a new webcomic event that has huge potential. For those just visiting this advert for the first time here's a simple overview of the project: - KNOWING follows the adventures of a four-man team who work for the American Government hunting and defending the nation against the supernatural. It might not sound original, but there are all sorts of cool surprises in the scripts and the different mediums different artists will use will add a distinctive feel to everybody's chapter. Chapters stand alone as stories but when read as a series make up a bigger adventure. - KNOWING is a community webcomic project. This means that anybody can sign up to do a chapter for it, the idea being that as many chapters as possible are done by different artists with their own unique art styles. Two arts comunities, Coloring Dragons.com and 515Comics.com are working together to give this as much of launch as possible. - Once you've signed up a script will be sent to you from those already written, along with pre-existing character designs and a standard page size to work with (for uniformity's sake). Scripts are never more than two pages long and you can give them as many pages of comic or as few as 5 depending on how much work you want to put into them. When its complete you just send it back via email and we put it up on the site! - You can do as many chapters as you like, as long as you get them done Please don't volunteer for more than one at a time though. Once a chapter is complete you can ask for another one. - We'll ask for a 300res and a 100res version of your chapter at the scale provided, that way once we have a complete first season we can look into binding the collection into a book for those who have taken part. the 100res version will be used for the website edition. - Every artist who takes part will recieve a copy of the book version FREE, as well as be credited on the main website and a link will be included to the site of their choice from that site. Additionally the site will be the subject of an internet advertising campaign and added to the topwebcomics listings, further advertising your skills. - Those who sign up will be able to read the whole script set as it is written and have a say in the way events pan out! - This is a 100% non-profit event.
