Otay, I don't have many friends but recently when I want to see who's online, it says no one is. THE LIST IS LYING TO ME D:< It's a little annoying too since It's a natural reflex to check and see who's online. XP I've been going to a lot of places on the site to check if it was just my wifi being evil or something, but it happens everywhere so I figured it's a bug. I don't know if anyone else has posted about this problem, but, it doesn't hurt to post it again if someone has. I use the latest version Mozilla Firefox. I had this happening too. Previously, I think the default was to have it say "1 Friend Online" when the list was empty. For a while mine read "0 Friends Online", but only in certain parts of the site. Now it seems to work appropriately on every page. It could be that the problem was corrected but your browser has the areas with the problem cached. Try emptying your cache and see if this helps.
