What do you think of that site? Do they go too far in their harassment?

I don't think it's funny at all, personally, but I'm here to see your opinions.

More often than not, most of the articles are written by 14 year-olds and their sad attempts at humour by adding 7 or more memes in every sentence.

If Im lucky, I can find a pretty good article.

If its a true article, then its funny. But when its the random retarded bullshit its just annoying. And most of the people FROM Ed or people I know irl that like it are more retarded then the articles themselves. ):

People can be jerks.

People can be on the internet.

People can be jerks on the internet.

That is how ED started.

Pretty much what said, most of that shit's retarded, but every once on an eclipse there's a pretty lulzy article.

ED is how I found this place, so it can't be all bad, right?

I mostly wander into the Deviantart section now and then. For the most part, I think the articles are crude, but clever in their own way. You can tell right away the bad articles from the good. The ones that are just peppered with foul language, but are backed up by sound arguments and screenshots are good (though I don't think anyone stupid enough to NOT take it all with a grain of salt or a bit of humour should be reading it), while you can usually tell which are personal vendetta's and written by morons. Those are the ones where the bulk of the article is grotesque pictures, insults about them and their family, their dog, etc etc., and contribute nothing of evidence to prove that the person deserves the harassment.

I DO think that some people in the art world and the internet at large deserve to be taken down a peg, and I think the good articles demonstrate a logical and crucial progression of trying to shake some sense into very dense people. HOWEVER, I DO think that it should NEVER escalate into real life. I disagree with that very strongly. If the internet isnt srs bsns, then real life ought to be and even the most obnoxious aspie deserves peace of mind and a place to retreat to and feel safe. Threatening real life harm or posting personal information is not cool. As well, I think if the person changes their behaviour, after a while an article should be taken down. If the point is to teach them a lesson, and that justifies the cruelty, then after they realize the error of their ways, there's no point of keeping the article up so long after the drama has passed.

Not as of those with AS are obnoxious - each case is completely different. I have AS myself on a lesser degree - and I tend only to be obnoxious to people I don't trust, but that usually comes after taking a good look at the person and working out a little about who they are and what the might be doing...

Most of the people who need taking down a peg don't tend to have AS though - I see people who think that they're perfect in every way, and not just on the net, but IRL - who think they're above it all. Usually these people run local governments, (About time ED had a 'Parish Councils' section, as it serves my point here!) and think that they can get away with anything, such as syphoning off cash for petty things that they assume nobody will miss because even though they can afford things, they'd rather not spend their own money.

I'm assuming AS = assbergers. Naturally, not everyone with that condition is going to be bad, so I'm sorry to have generalized. It was more for giving the example of what some who frequent circles like ED and 4chan consider to be the worst/most deserving of negative attention. I think that even the type of people they hate most deserve to be left alone in real life.

It's 'Aspergers'. and I people single each other out for what they do, not who they are.

I don't understand what you mean by that. Who singles who out for what?

I don't know - it was you who worded things that way...

I often go through ED myself just for a good laugh and to see what it has to say about popular internet entities. I do find it funny how ridiculous some of those articles can be at times and like it's been said some articles there are very true.

Also in response to kwiji, check what ya said. I think you intended to say "People single each other out for what they do, not who they are" but you left an "I" in front of "people". Thus resulting in light brights confusion at the statement.

I think you're right, that it's what they meant...but isn't that a good thing? D; that people should be judged on their individual actions and not whatever labels may apply to them? ...lol well I'm still confused, but thanks.

My mom almost thought that I had Aspergers.
But I don't.
I'm just a weird kid.

Encyclopedia Dramatica.... i only went on there once, I got linked to it, and then a bunch of weird crap started happening. My antivirus/firewall started freaking out.

I think it's cruel & far too opinionated to be on wikepedia , but I found this place through it , so any advertising is good advertising . .
