hydroshadow617: The people that post recolors and edits REALLY need to move on... - Jun 25th 2009, 6:47PM Link | Report
Now, as all of you know, sonic recolors and edits are not allowed on this site. So, for the people that post recolors here...why do you do it? You know people are just going to flame and troll you for it, so the what's the point? Now I will admit, I did at one point, submit edits here, but that was because I had no idea they were allowed. So I got reported. I only used to do edits so that one day, I would be good enough to move on to making my own custom sprites. I told that to one of the users here, but he argued and stated a very good point on his part. He said that 9 times out of 10, most of those editors will never move on. That's where I stopped editing period. I'm glad he told me that, because now I can actually submit something without getting trolled for it. Which leaves me with this question for editors...is it that hard to original? Let me answer that for you. No...no it is not. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing on you editors, I'm just giving out advice. Just don't post edits here, post them somewhere else. Whenever people try to be nice to them and try to tell them to post them somewhere else, they respond immaturely with comments like "FUCK YOU!". What's the point in that? *sigh* All I'm saying is, it's better to post edits somewhere else and to post your customs here, where it won't get flamed and trolled. People...making edits isn't that big of a deal, but it is when you post it at a website where people make their artwork from scratch, rather than copying and pasting then going over it with a different color. So now, I ask you this question...are edits really worth going through shit load of flaming and trolling? Copied and pasted work...seriously? I would say hell no for this, but if you sonic editors want to be thick headed, I'll let you decide this one. You guys need to learn that there is more to life than sonic edits. You guys need to learn that there is more to life than copying and pasting copyrighted work and making it look deformed by putting some long ass uber hair on it. (Seriously, I have no idea what it is with those guys and uber hair...)

I believe they're talking about people who take videogame sprites and change the colors or edit them slightly.

So how about just saying, "I dislike recolors. They are bad. Anybody agree?" and cut it short.
