Today, you became the top dog of the school committee and were asked to assign required courses for what ever school you have went through.

What courses would you enforce/remove, what school (middle school, high school, college, etc.), and why?

Remember, you are picking REQUIRED COURSES.

English, math *oh how I dispise Maths!*, science, and religion, the rest should be allowed by the students to pick in my opinion.
Religion I think should be key to teach the world of the different cultures and religions there are in the world

I think that sociology or even philosophy should be taught at an earlier age. To get the kids to think, engage, understand, to respect cultures and moral dilemmas that society faces today =)

I think a theology class would be great for sophmores or juniors in highschool. I don't see anyone younger than that taking it seriously.

Sex-ed, and policies of total abstinence should be banned. .__. We have one here in SC, and I mean, they don't tell you anything about sex, or condoms, or any kind of birth control. They just tell you not to have it. haha, cause, you know, that explains why six of the 90 girls at my graduation were knocked up when they recieved their diploma. .__.

Two - three years of world history, opposed to 1 year of US and one of World.

And yes, forensics. For freshman.

Required courses? Calculus by 6th grade or you lose your citizenship god damn it. For English, you must be able to write a decent, COMPREHENSIBLE, critical research paper on a literary work or face public execution.

9th grade for the slow learners and those held back for various reasons. >:E

ALL MUST PLAY AN INSTRUMENT AT VIRTUOSO LEVEL BY GRADUATION!

DOMINATE THE GLOBE!!

!!!

get rid of most math courses, except algebra 1 and 2, gun saftey and how to use a gun (feild trips should consist of paintball (for freshmen) and than air soft (for sophmores and juniors) and trips to the local firing range (seniors that are 18), Sociology, philosophy, sex-ed, english classes to the extent of writing at a decent level, computer skills, physcology , basic medical knowledge (how to set broken bones, treat large wounds, and how to stop an infection), but most of all world geograhy for fish and world history for sophmores and juniors than us history and government for seniors.
