I just want to know from a current experiance, which one is better. I'm just ultimately confused. I hear deviant art doesn't remove art regardless of anything, then I read forums here that says they have a strict copyright policy and all that. But right now, I'm leaning towards experiance i know from here. Sheezy is pretty cool ... there are alot of nice people and sympathetic people ... but as most of you have heard my lame rantings ; , Most of my stuff got removed, yadayadayada ... I didn't take it well. Specially my poke sprites ... ahem ... getting off subject again. Anyway, can anyone point out some pros and cons of both?

Neither of the websites will allow you to change your username account, but SA will make an exception if it's dire to do so. I found dA is annoying when it comes to categorizing your work, and Sheezy is much more smoother with obvious categories which I liked much more -- easier interface. It's just my first day at Sheezy so I can't say much, but what little I can say (I've been in dA for a year or so) is that I'm less confused with SA.
I know I wasn't that helpful, but when I learn more -- I'll hit ya back. ;D

They're about the same, as far as rules go. But I think because DA is larger, things go without being reported for longer so it looks like they are more lax.
As far as which is better, it really depends on what you're looking to get out of a website.

Sheezy is much less competitive. It's not as much about who's. I haven'tseen too many peaople with over 5000 pageviews. They are there, though. DA seems to have a wider variety of artists, but the people on sheezy are just friendlier on many occasions.

I like the greater customization on SheezyArt. I wish that there were a fine balance between the size of SA's population and DA's, because frankly, I'm not so fond of either community. On DA I feel a little isolated, but here on SA, the community is so compact that once the drama gets stirring, there's no real way to escape it save turning the computer off.

In the end it is now whats better, its what people use the most.
DA has some pretty cool artists, but you have to shift through a whole bunch of shit to get to it. At least here the process is easier.I am kind of getting sick of anime drawings done by 14 year olds. I do prefer the default colour scheme on sheezy way more than that horrid green brown steam like crap DA has going on.
Sheezy seems to be way more tolerant of opinions, a lot of crybabies on DA. One thing I did like was the people I watched were more active. oh and also you get subscriptions and pay to alter you DA page whereas here you can do it for free.

they both have a lot of talentless anime fans who think tracing Naruto stills makes them an artist.
Deviantart has a few decent real artists though.

DeviantArt has one hell of a harassment issue because of the staff refusal to handle a harassment situation over five years ago the escalation of this is on every deviant unjustly banned and I was fighting for them the didn't deserve to be thrown off because of some low life troll and his band of miscreant criminals! Its estimates that the number of deviants banned for noting but being trolled by chix0r and her supporters is somewhere in the 40's thou it is uncertain rather or not these deviants are aware that they can really light a fire under deviantArt's backside because its a cooperation and does not have that freedom of a private server due in part to a mandatory contract with the state they are based in.
This situation arose Ironically by chix0r,and her supporters refusal to accept that by banning the victims in theses situations they have caused the precocious "Ignore Them" to fail miserably and the problem to escalate out of control in a matter of days.
As it stands this is a on gong problem that has only claimed more victims as time progressed. the guilty supports of ED are all that will remain when all is said ind done. ED took frees peach TO FAR, and DA's abuse of power make it dangerous at best to be there.

Pretty much, while not topnotch material quite yet (lack of artists for some, for others prints features) Sheezy is young and showing excellent progress, which is just fine for most me included. one would have to also in this ratting take into consideration that deviantArt is a cooperation that has a public website (yes you heard that right public) while the company may be privately owned that is a completely different matter to what is happening in its community. the actions of what is happening there is Inexcusable for a sight that hold's it self so highly you should have scene the nasty comets they made about the Square Enix challenge I wasted no time posting on their official forums that sites like deviantArt don't deserve such recognition; that the foul publicity was a direct result of the way deviantArt has chosen to run its busyness catering only to themselves not their artists.
naturally this created a greedy environment ripe for the formation of such vile minded individuals as the ones that created the horrible comments. The comments themselves were kind of stupid more or less reeking of self enthusiasm and they didn't stop to think it my have been a way of scouting that failed. being that the only logical reason it did fail was that with all the talent there it was extortionately rare to see an art come alive. while the forum was exlent it lacked hte spark that makes Art ART.
