I know there are some Zelda+Link fans in here, so dont be mad at me k?
I just had the weirdest revelation as i was looking through the gallery...Zelda and Link look VERY similiar...same hair color, the triforce etc....
What would happen if they turned out to be siblings? O_O" I mean you never know, seperated at birth, Zelda was found by the kind King, Link was taken in by the Forest peoples? What do you think?

ZeLink is probably the most popular pairing in the fandom, but there's actually a good number of people who believe Link and Zelda are siblings. It's actually not impossible, especially in Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past. Which is where the theory first came from.

How it works in OoT:

In OoT we are told Link's mother escaped the fires of war and fled into the forbidden forest. Which is where she died and Link was taken in the Great Deku Tree and so on. Many believe the his mother was actually the Queen of Hyrule and it was she who died, explaining why Link, a hylian, is in the Kokiri Forest and why Zelda has no mother.

How it works in ALttP:

Upon the death of Link's Uncle he tells Link, "Zelda is your..." but dies before he can finish the sentence. In the GBA release the sentence is completed with "Zelda is your...destiny." And many believe this laid to rest any assumptions Zelda was his sister, but this is not so. I'm not sure what the Japanese release said, but Nintendo of America is notorious for add-libbing in Zelda games (such as extending Midna's farewell to Link in TP to include "Link I..." which is not present in the Japanese release). In the event "...destiny" is in the Japanese re-release this still does not mean Link and Zelda are not siblings. After all, it can still be Link's destiny to save is sister.

How it works in TP:

Yes, the brother/sister theory is even plausible in Twilight Princess. The only difference is in past Zelda games Link and Zelda have remained the same age while in Twilight Princess Link remains 17 while Zelda appears to be in her early twenties making him her younger brother (if you believe this theory). Link, like in OoT, is once more the only hylian in a community of non-hylians out past the forests. He and Zelda both bare a Triforce and, unlike OoT, it's not explained why they possess them they merely just have them. Some people take this to mean Link is Zelda's orphaned brother, who was found and raised in Ordon which is why he has the Triforce.

As far as I know, Miyamoto himself said they aren't siblings.

In Ocarina of Time, most ladies don't have mother. Queen of Zoras died, as well as Malon's mom. But it doesn't make Link their brother, right?

Every woman in the royal family is named Zelda. So I guess the Deku Tree would know that Zelda was Link's mother. I mean, she was the queen after all... And he knew basically about everything.

In TP Zelda would recognise Link as her brother when she used her own Triforce or just sensed the Triforce of Courage in him. Well, as she could recognise Midna, who was a baing from another world, it wouldn't be that big deal to recognise Link. Instead, she treats him like a hero who, after beating the evil, will return to his land and she'll perhaps never see him again.

Sorry, if I sounded rude in any part of it, I'm very touchy when it goes for this...
