On the 1st and 15th of each month the Gallery Hosts and Hostesses of SheezyArt will select submissions from the site galleries and showcase them on the main page of the site. These submissions and their creators have caught a Host's or Hostess' eye and have been chosen to be featured.

Note: Remember, if you really love something that is shown here be sure to comment on that piece to let the artist know! Artist feedback = Good!

If you know of a great image that should be featured feel free to send it and a short description to any of our Gallery Hosts and Hostesses listed on the Cast page. Do not select your own works of course. What will be featured is completely up to the Gallery Host or Hostesses, but we would love to see your favorites.

'Mermaid' by Shotz go BOOMSeeing 's work feels like extension of a child's imagination. I can easily picture her work gracing the cover of fairytale books. Her work is very successful at creating a narrative for you, and also leaves enough for the viewer to guess what has or will happen next.
'THEM CROOKED VULTURES - LONDON' by Jordan Kendall's designs have been steadily increasing in content, composition, and imagination. Jordan experiments in various styles and techniques, however each carry his unique humorous style. Through his work I can be delighted by something just off, as in the case off http://www.sheezyart.com/art/view/2188004/THEM CROOKED VULTURES - LONDON. Familiar images, but with separate contexts it makes your head tilt with a bemused smile (mine did!)
'The Great Judge Turpin- Sweeney Todd' by kentcharm studies capture the essence and emotion of the character. It is hard to capture humanity this real in a few strokes of colour. My favourite works of Kentcharm is when showing the marks and grit that really show a person's attitude and journeys. She articulates wrinkles, unshaven faces, sideways grins, and so forth. It isn't just a traditional portrait of showing the best of actors, but showing the maps of a person's life.
'Acid Complex' by KoiyuI think a kaleidoscope would be sitting in envy for the way uses colour. Her pallet seems to be everything, but she uses it so well that it becomes a balanced composition and not a melting pot of colour. I can spend a good while just staring at all the texture, design or the delicate blending and wonder why it works. There is something truly magical about her work, and I can't wait to see more.

'Paper Planes' by pibityProbably the two materials that will have folks frownin' on you more than anything are Sharpie markers and colored pencils. Well, in a gloriously defiant fashion, Pibity has used them both together to create Paper Planes and annihilate that part of the rule book with an atom bomb.

The pencils are worked delicately in building layers that sculpt a well-defined, dimensional figure...an interesting character who it seems would be described as "colorful" even in limbo. But limbo this is not. Around the character is a maelstrom of color—flat, bold marker making a good contrast to the soft pastel and texture of the pencils. In between these two extremes are a few transitional areas which keep the piece coherent. The gun and arm are done in colored pencil, but in bold reds that hearken to the background. The hair, meanwhile, is a flat, black void which bridges to the flat quality of the background, and also provides the eye with a place to rest from the chaos, and a frame to draw focus to the character's face as the main area of interest in the piece. (And amid all that neutrally-toned skin, the blue eye radiates back clearly as the place to go.) Areas of the background also interplay with the figure, such as the rainbow which seems to be shooting from the (rainbow-patterned) gun, and framing brown areas, especially those which lead into the forearm tattoo at the wrist.

I know I wanna trip on this synthesizer. It's a fantastic job with color and composition, character and confusion, clarity and chaos—a sparkling gem among the treasures that make up all of Pibity's gallery. Make sure you pay her a lot of attention, Sheezy Citizens!
'Windows to the Soul' by redrevvyAnother fantastic painting from Redrevvy! Her work is always of a high caliber, but this one really stands out from the pack. Leonid Feorus had the same thought that this deserved a feature, and suggested the piece to me with the following:

Once more my friend redrevvy has stunned and amazed me with her new work.

Her description is one of the few that isn't just the artist fluffing their ego, you can feel the thought and meaning placed into this work even before you read the words. So many details jump out to me I don't know where to begin. The figure's clothing is a delicious take on French couture adorned with tiny eyeballs and uncountable pearls. Her elongated nails bleed a bright red which matches her closed eyes and give a burning focal point to the viewer. The cat is rendered so well it just looks silky to the touch and the decadent background is an homage to redrevvy's previous works on her "Monster Wallpapers" that I am pleased to see come back.

Well put, Tamera, and well painted, Jayde!

'Ice Girl' by Sky09I just started using Sai recently and it's so inspiring to see what other people can create with the program.
In my searches I found , who shares with us a piece with soft but defined features, the overall design in this piece definitely exceeds the expectations of the program it was made it.
'An Outer Space Picnic' by ThanaelI'm always impressed by people who can use textures om their work, even more so when they use them correctly.
's 'Outer Space Picnic' balances the different materials to create this fun and playful piece. Keep up the great work!

'Thunderhorse "NES"-ized' by KulorThunderhorse "NES"-izedThis is just too awesome. I love Dethklok, I love that other people love it. I absolutely do not love 8 bit songs. I really don't, but this one blows my mind. It's that good.
'Dangerous Style' by RyanideDangerous StyleThis is a bit of a personal feature for me. The track reminds me very much of my own old production style, as well as kicking a fair amount of ass! Worth noting: when I was using sounds like this and such, I was never this good at making them sound this awesome :]

Watch this guy.
