Legna staggered into the room as the empty bottle hit the floor and rolled till it hit the wall. He some how made it to his desk and pulled out the journal, frowning as new tears formed in his eyes. He wiped them away and opened to a fresh page in the book and put ink on his pen.

Journal entry 10

Fate is a cruel mistress indeed, today was the hardest and most draining day for me, putting my faith in my profession and my conviction in the Dreadfish way to their limit%u2026

Earlier today

The trifocal doctor washed his hands and he hung his head low, he had lost another one to a new poison Sword had develop and started using on their weapons. Dr. Zever was good in his work, but this poison was beating him every time. The count was now up to 13 deaths cause of it, and without a proper medical research team in Dreadfish army finding a cure was almost impossible. %u201CDamn Swords%u2026they have no honor; where is the honor in killing an enemy in such a weak way%u2026%u201D he growled out as he looked at himself in the mirror.

%u201CDoctor?%u201D A sweet voice from behind said, he turned to see his friend Jenny, a nurse, looking at him with worry. Unknown to the Doc she cared for him as more than just a friend, but knew of how Sword killed his lover and kept her feelings to herself. %u201CAre you alright?%u201D

%u201C%u2026no,%u201D he whispered as he turned to her, %u201Cthis damnable poison is killing more than I can save%u2026more than anyone can save. We need to find a cure, even though we are gaining more and more brave souls for our cause but%u2026this%u2026%u201D he clenched his teeth as he went back looking into the sink, %u201Cthis damn poison those Sword scum makes it like we%u2019re just weak fools. I WILL NOT HAVE THE HONOR OF THE DREADFISH RUINED IN SUCH A MANOR!!%u201D he shouted and punched the mirror, making it shatter and cut his hand as blood dripped down his hand, shocking the nurse who quickly went to his add and started to fix his hand with the medical kit all medics and nurse have with them. Both of them blushing lightly at the touch of their hands. %u201Cuh%u2026thanks.%u201D the now red doctor mumbled out he watched her work, a certain feeling running through him that he hadn%u2019t felt in a long time since he lover died and he joined Dreadfish.

Jenny gulped as she decided it was time to risk it, %u201CLegna%u2026I was-%u201D but before she could finish they both heard the sound of screaming and blades going through flesh.

He stopped writing as he had to regain his composer, he got up and headed outside. There he saw the infantry clear the last body from the ground. Sword came in and ambushed to M.A.S.H. unit, killing anything that wasn%u2019t sword. He went to the nurses tent and knocked on the door, %u201CIs Jenny there?%u201D he asked waiting for a reply. One of the nurses that survived said she was back in the E.R., with a quick he headed to the E.R. and went back to event that just happened.

Back 2 hours ago

Legna covered the nurses mouth as she screamed and press himself against one of the walls as he listen closely. Soon enough the door burst open by a kick of one of the Sword warriors, so quickly the doctor knocked him out by hitting the back of his neck with his medical kit. He quickly used the bandages to tie it up and injected some morphine to keep the warrior out for awhile and quickly picked the blade to toss it away. However he heard his friend scream, and then everything slowed downed.

Another Sword had Jenny backed into a corner and started to raise its blade to cut her down. Dr. Zever was in a situation that put his strongest beliefs into contradiction with each other. He could fight the opponent and kill it to prove his worth, but then he would break the oath he made when he became a doctor. He could try to hold him off without killing him as the doctor would, but not only would it be against what a Dreadfish was, he%u2019d loose someone close to him. Fight and break the medical code, don%u2019t fight and forfeit the right to call himself a Dreadfish and loose Jenny; there was no in-between in this situation, he had to make a choice and now.

Legna slowly opened the doors into the room, and there stood the nurse he was looking for, staring into oblivion. He made his choice, he blocked the Sword%u2019s blade with the one he had and fought with every once of strength he had. It was tough, but he was able to run the warriors heart through as it went to finish him off. The doctor took a life to save a life. He gently put a hand on Jenny%u2019s shoulder, %u201CJenny%u2026%u201D he whispered out, in which she turned and pulled him into a hug, not a tear on her face; a true Dreadfish. He smiled gently and hugged back, he may have killed, but he was still a doctor and doctors sometimes have to make choices on who lives and who dies; he chalked up the moment under that.
