Insomnia

How different the world is at four in the morning;
I can hear the sounds of a sleepy metropolis beginning to start its day
When I have barely ended my own.
You are working,
And it seems that even the dogs are insomniacs.
I toss and turn without remorse or worry;
My eyelids are heavy and I am tired
Why then can%u2019t I sleep?
Perhaps I have been dreaming too much in the day,
And there are no dreams left for sleep.
I feel like a child on Christmas morning,
Who%u2019s trying to be a good kid
But is simply too excited to sleep.
Sandman oh sandman
Are you on vacation?
Why have you forgotten me?
Alas I will try once again;
Pray the so eluded sleep befalls me
And I get some rest at last.

I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping, this was a vent of my frustration.
