Flash Fire: Prologue

I can feel it in my blood, a fire in my veins.

I remember the sun, its rays betting down on my head. My hat shading me from the heat. It was another wonderfully hot day, as I watched them on my rock. They were Pokèmon, Vulpixes and Growlithes.
The professor asked me a couple of days ago to keep an eye on them. To take notes as they played and interacted. My notebook was nearly full, filled with names and information. I had watched each one of them closely, finding out about their characteristics and habits. It was amazing how creatures that looked so much alike where so different. And they don%u2019t even look the same anymore, I could tell each one with out having to refer to their tags.
I%u2019ve been watching them, studying them, for about a week now and that day was no different. Every so often I would open the notebook and write something in the margin or one of their pages. But something different happened.
Vickie, one of the smaller female Vulpixes, was flirting with Vincent, an older male Growlithe, by brushing her tales against him. Vickie was already mated to Andrew, a younger male Growlithe; and it so happened that he came as Vincent flirted back. Andrew became angry and dropped something to the ground he had brought back in his mouth and tackled Vincent. The two Growlithes wrestled each other for a good while before Andrew used his flamethrower attack.
It missed and head straight at me, but by this time I had already pulled out my extinguisher and simple used it to stop the attack. But Andrew wasn%u2019t done, he used his fire again and this time Vincent met him with his own.
I was busy writing down what I could, that had never happened before, suddenly one of the smaller Vulpixes, Jasmine, came up and started yipping at me. I ignored her and kept watching the fight between the jealous males. Then Jasmine came up and stole my pencil. She ran behind me and I turned to grab her and get it back. But then I saw what she had wanted me to see. Some of the two Growlithes fire had flown off and started a fire in the brush.
I stood up and ran over, extinguisher in front off me in my left hand. I was putting the notebook away in my pants as I raced over with my other hand. I used the extinguisher to put out as much as I could, but it soon ran out. I threw it aside and started to use my hands to throw dirt to smother the flames. Several other Pokèmon came and started kicking dirt up as well.
Then another blast of fire came and started another section up. I ran to the two arguing Pokèmon and pulled them apart, one in each hand. As I did one of them bit me and used his fire at the same time. When I cried out in pain the two males were surprised. I fell to the ground in pain, my whole body felt like it was burning. I thought I heard someone say something, but I was the only one there. I then blacked out.

%u201CSo that%u2019s what happened?%u201D a man in a gray suit stood next to him as the nurses looked at his equipment. Aaron could fell his blood boil as he talked.
%u201CYeah, I don%u2019t think the Growlithe meant to bite me though.%u201D Aaron was still astounded at how muffled he sounded. Probably the drugs still wearing off, he thought to himself.
%u201CYes well, I guess I was lucky to be able to get your story. For a while there you looked ready to pass out. Thank you for the information.%u201D The man tipped his wide rim hat, also gray, and started to walk out.
%u201CWait, please,%u201D Aaron said before the man left. %u201CI%u2019d like you to deliver something for me please, if it isn%u2019t to much trouble.%u201D
%u201COf course, I%u2019m guessing it%u2019s that journal of your.%u201D
%u201CYes, the notebook. Like I said, I put in my pants, please ask one of the nurses to get it for you. And could you please take it to Professor Oak.%u201D
%u201CI will.%u201D
%u201CThank you.%u201D
%u201CThat%u2019s enough talking for one day, you need to rest. That fever isn%u2019t going to stop it self now is it.%u201D The nurse that was in the room pushed Aaron back down into his bed, pulling the sheets up over him.
%u201CNo, I guess it isn%u2019t.%u201D He turned his head as the man left the room. %u201CThank you again.%u201D
The man turned his head back and nodded and pulled his hat in acknowledgment and left the room.
Aaron closed his eyes and slept.
The nurse closed the blinds and checked the equipment again. Something bothered her but she didn%u2019t know what. But she left as well.
As the nurse left the numbers that read Aaron%u2019s body temperature started to slowly climb, digit by digit. He just laid there, finally comfortable.

Here's the first of those stories I talked about in my journal. I hope this one ends up being short.
And I say hope because Gawd and my sanity only know how I end up dragging these things out. And me and my sanity aren't on talking terms right know so your going to have to talk to Gawd.
<_<

Pyro Phoenix Says:

OOh...Will he become a firelicious guy?

aaron25255 Says:

Crap! Stupid weird things. I'll fix it. Somehow.

purple cartoon Says:

It's really good, but I think that it's the prologue, not the epilogue. Anyways, there are a couple small spelling/gramatical mistakes that I'm not going to bother pointing out, but other than that, it's fine. Very interesting.
