It's Rosette from "Chrno Crusade", not Chrono Cross. Honest mistake though. (I thought for a while they were related, but they actually aren't. O.o I don't think.)

Anyway! It looks pretty cool. ^.^ Pretty bright, though. But, to each his own, right?

Hmm... this is interesting. Plenty of nice effects there. You wanted to know about the blending mostly though right? Well to me it looks like the character you've used is PART of the background while at the same time the character is clear and present. So all in all. You've managed something quite awesome.
