I watched them dancing from a distance

some darker shade of me

Looking back I see that these
were stepping stones over the sea
Cos all the tears that stained my face
were doorways to a better place

Keys are hidden from our sight
But we find them when we fall

See secret windows in the wall

I wrote this just before the summer, reflecting on my former attitude to life and how things have changed. How I've grown, I guess. Sometimes when you're in darkness it can seem easier to imagine that you'll be there forever, easier to distance yourself from people, than it is to pick yourself up and look for something to smile about. Well it's all just experiences... the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful. :) Blah blah blah. *rambles*
