Winter is coming

Winter is coming. Days become shorter and nights longer. The birds fly to the south. A melancholc time especially for me now. I´m still sick and worried about my future. Couldn´t sleep last night. I wanted to draw something but I still cannot finish commissions, I´m just so tired. I found some great pics at the equine-resource gallery on DA. I thought I should try give it a try. Scribbled the sketch and took the photo as reference for light and shadow. I worked in grayscale in Photoshop 7 with my cheap tablet. My last try to draw a horse was a disaster. I´ve colored the horse with a tutorial Losmios sent me. The first time I drew Nwalme en lor in fullbody. I tried about 5 hours to find a good background. This was the last I came up with. I made it in PS and OC 4. There is a little story about the sparkles.
As I was 6 or 7 years old I loved (and still love) it to walk down snowy pathes in winter. Fresh snow sparkels in the sun, like thousands of diamonds. I always wonderd why. Maybe someone walks at night trhough the snow and spreads diamonds or sparkels all over the snow. And in the morning when all people walk through the first snow they see all these little twinkling diamonds.
