This was an assignment for a class, to illustrate electricity. We were allowed to use only two analogous colours, black, and white. So I used just orange and yellow in addition to black and white.

12"x12" acrylic on paper

Prints Available.

Isn't there some green in there?

Radical JoJo Says:

Wow, epic! I love all the dynamics in here, and the downplayed color palatte. Great work!

Lark Pash Says:

That is really neat and powerful!

Jolie Says:

That really powerful and expressive! Excellent!

Windsong Says:

Wow. Very very powerful!
It's awesome!

Lilac Wood Says:

The expressions on the faces I can see are awesome, like the person on the far left, head tilted, entranced, curious drawn in... And the triangle-y feel of the central figures, coming to a point at the lightning. I like.

Minstrel Ayreon Says:

Very nice...I don't know why, but I'm reminded of the cinematography of older movies like The Ten Commandments...

Great work, and a considerable step beyond merely visualizing electricity. There's an old painting - I can't recall painter or title at the moment - that shows Christ on a cross surrounded by people reaching up to him. It reminds me quite a lot of that one. The sky is great, the pose of the receiver rules and the lightning looks pretty good, too.
