I'm studying the Great War in Social Studies and its amazing how many people put their life on their line to protect those they love. Soldiers were still fighting as they waited for the day of armistice which was the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. I watched a video and they showed the records of the last soldier to die; he died about an hour before the war was officially over.
This is no one in particular, I just drew her. I put on the tombstone November 10, 1917. Her family member, a loved one... however you want to put it. This picture took place, years after the war, I don't know how long.
The poppies I took off the internet, and the picture I did by hand with background with Photoshop.
And so to the soldiers of the past and present, I salute you.
