Commonly known as jade plant or friendship tree (botanic name Crassula ovata, Crassula portulacea--also "wrongly" identified as Crassula argentea, Crassula obliqua) is a succulent plant that sometimes has small pink or white flowers. There is a common misconception that the Jade Plant is also known as the "money tree." This is false, however, as the Pachira aquatica plant is the original "money tree."
