A Death Note fanart, featuring Mello and Near, the characters whom you will encounter from Vol 7 onwards ^^.
Mello looks like a girl, right? That was my first impression of him anyway - I did think he was a girl when he first appeared in the manga o.O. He looks much more masculine as the manga goes on, but...
And now that I've read the whole thing more than 3 times, I've really started to like these two so much more, hence the fanart =]
As always, I hope my drawing doesn't disappoint Mello's and Near's fans
**NOTE**
I have to say that, while I did intend to draw them on the same height level, ....it doesn't seem right now, after all, Mello is so much taller than Near is. I'm sorry to butcher the picture!

Anyway, great fanart of them! Mel just reeks of sexiness from the very beginning, and Near... Well, let's just say that I'm beginning to understand the Mello from various fanfics I've read. *nods*
There's just one thing I have to say about this pic tho, and that's that Mel really is much taller than Near (and I'm such a Mello fangirl... > ,>
