a mere woman who lives as a saint, guarding a creature that is truly sacred... altruism at its best. no other heart would know generosity as this, but sweet Jokia has seen the light of life, even though she cannot see...
Jokia is not the woman, but one of the elephants behind the woman :) i made this piece after watching a show on animal planet about asian elephants. one of the stories was about an elephant named "Jokia," who lost a child and her vision to very abusive owner :( so, a woman in thailand (that's where the story took place) took this elephant into her reserve along with several other abused and abandonned elephants

so, here is a little tribute to the elephants, and the one that tries so hard to keep them safe.

Love it. Absolutely love it.
Your colouring amazes me. Your pictures always look so gentle and soft.
I love the detail on the elephants and the jewellery.

Very well done. The only "issues" I have with this painting are miniscule at their greatest. I would elaborate if you wish, but please note that I am just too picky, perhaps.

indeed, what really got my attention is the way you executed the idea, very nice, and has a good theme to it, things like that :)
